As you yourself have said that due to the increasing use of air conditioners on earth and the leakage of gases called chlorofluorocarbons from them, and poisonous gases generated from chemicals, the ozone layer that protects us from the intense rays of the sun is becoming very weak.

Therefore, the ultraviolet rays emitted from the sun rays directly affect the living beings living on earth. They affect our skin on coming in direct contact.

🌞 How long do you stay in contact with the sun?

If I answer this question honestly, then I rarely get the opportunity to go out in the bright sun, because I feel dizzy in the bright sun, I cannot tolerate the sun at all.

Therefore, even if I have to go out, I prefer to go out in my vehicle. Therefore, I have very little contact with the sun.

🌞 Do you use sunscreen daily?

I don't find the need to use sunscreen as I am a big believer of taking other precautions while going out in the sun rather than using it.

Yes, I have seen many other people who apply sunscreen lotion on their face and arms before going out.

🌞 Do you know how many times you should apply sunscreen in a day?

Yes, I know that we should keep applying sunscreen every 2 hours, various studies show that it does not harm the body.

Rather, it protects our delicate skin from ultraviolet rays. That is why we should regularly use broad spectrum sunscreen with a sun protection factor standard of 15 or more as prescribed by the drug and cosmetic regulators.

We should reapply sunscreen at least every two hours, and more often if we are sweating or swimming.

🌞Do you know what the protection levels mean and which one do you use daily?

As we know UV radiation damages the skin and can cause sunburn and skin cancer. No sunscreen can completely block UV radiation.

So in my opinion we should wear clothes to cover the skin exposed to the sun such as long sleeve shirts, pants, sunglasses and wide-brimmed hats, we should cover our face well before going out.

Some people may have adverse reactions to sunscreens, such as stinging, or burning. Chemical sunscreen ingredients can also cause allergic contact dermatitis, especially if we are allergic to any of the chemicals added in them.

So before using sunscreen, we must consult our doctor or pharmacist and also tell if we are allergic to any of its ingredients.

Older people may also be at risk of vitamin D deficiency if they use sunscreen frequently and spend less time in the sun.

So to help such elderly people get enough vitamin D, they can eat vitamin D-rich foods. Nowadays, vitamin D sachets are available in the market.
