INTRODUCTION
Hello my fellow steemians I want to belief that all of you are doing so well. I want to participate in this contest all about our self care.
I will start by answering questions
How do you prioritize self-care in your daily routine?
The common way I do prioritize my self-care practices include:
*Meditation and mindfulness: I do make sure I meditate in all my activities and I am always mindfully of what ever I am doing so as not to do the wring thing.
*Exercise or physical activity: I do exercise my body so as to gain more energy for the rest of the day. And I also do this so as to make my body flexible and relaxed.
*Spending time in nature: I do spend my time viewing what nature has for me. I do look at the sky, seeing what it 8s drawing and also using that medium to relax my self.
- Connecting with loved ones: I do spend quality time with my loved ones but if not around, I put call across just to hear their voices
- Getting enough sleep: Amongst all, make sure I get enough sleep.
Why is self-care important for maintaining overall well-being?
Self-care is necessary for maintaining overall well-being because it:
Take away stress and anxiety: Self-care help to manage stress, which could negatively have impact in the mental and physical health.
Improves mental health: Self-care practices like mindfulness and meditation support mental well-being and resilience.
Boosts mood: Self-care activities give away endorphins, also known as "feel-good" hormones, which promote mood and overall sense of well-being.
*Supports physical health: Self-care habits for example regular exercise, healthy eating, and much sleep add to physical health.
How do you ensure you take time for yourself amidst your busy schedule?
However, I can provide suggestions on how humans can prioritize self-care amidst a busy schedule:
- I do put in self-care activities into your daily planner or calendar.
I also Set realistic goals and some boundaries.
I do Learn to say "no" to Non-important commitments.
*I Take important breaks throughout the day.Give way to sleep and target for 7-8 hours each night.
What self-care practices have you found most beneficial for your mental health?
Some popular practices I have found beneficial for my mental health are
- Mindfulness and meditation
- Self-compassion and positive affirmations
- Exercise or physical activity
- Creative pursuits for example art, music, or even engaging in crafting
- Social connections
- Journaling or expressive writing
