SEC-S16 / W2 | How do you like it better? injected Or orally?πŸ’‰πŸ’Š

in hive-168205 β€’Β  9 months agoΒ

Hey Steemian friends!

Well to be honest I don't really want both but when the pain hits, we all want the fastest exit, right? so we have to decide one and let's see whether through the question of this contest we can choose one.

Awaiting for that needle 😬

πŸ’‰πŸ’Š Which of these three routes of medication administration do you consider the fastest and most effective to relieve pain, why?

When it comes to speed and efficiency, I think it must be injections because Injected medications can directly go into our bloodstream. This direct supply ensures that the medication's potency is unleashed promptly, providing a swift and effective response to pain.

On the other hand, Oral medications takes time to go through our body and digestive system to kick in. So there's a question about the pain relief speed rather than the efficiency.

However, even the efficiency can be debatable because of the precision. Injections deliver the medication right where they're needed, hitting the target with almost pinpoint accuracy. So, when you're craving for quick relief, recommended injection could be your best option to save the day or at least, save you from the agony and discomfort.

πŸ’‰πŸ’Š There are two ways to administer injected treatment, intravenous and intramuscular. Which of them do you prefer in case you need quick relief or discomfort?

Well to answer that I had to google what's these different options are. To those who are just like me this is what two words mean,

Intravenous (IV): These injections involve delivering medication directly into a vein which allow medication to enter the bloodstream rapidly. This method is often chosen for medications that require immediate effects or precise dosage control.

Intramuscular (IM): These injections involve delivering medication into a muscle and then slowly absorbed into the bloodstream. It's a slower option than IV. This method is commonly used for vaccines, antibiotics, and certain types of medications that can be absorbed effectively through the muscles.

So which one I prefer! I really don't know. Both need skin penetration through a needle and that's concerning. But IV seems to be working fast as to Google. It's a kind of VIP entrance for medicines where no waiting around, so why not choosing it if I want quick relief.

πŸ’‰πŸ’Š There is a very good medicine for our body vitamin B12, why do you think they indicate it more in injection and not in pills? Do you think they do not have the same components or the same effect?

Google comes to the rescue again! I feel so naive while I write this post. So what does this vitamin B12 has anything to do with injections?

Answer is "Absorption"

Some bodies seems to be picky when it comes to absorbing B12 through the digestive system. In an injection, B12 takes a direct detour into the bloodstream, ensuring that our body gets its vitamin boost without the hurdles of digestion. So even though pills might have same components, the effect of the vitamin absorb levels can be different. Now you know if your health team suggests the needle for your B12 fix, that it's not just about the method but about ensuring your body gets the treatment it deserves for optimal well-being.

πŸ’‰πŸ’Š If you are one of those who do not take pills and you do not like injections, what other method are you looking for to relieve pain or discomfort!?

When I was little I loved those syrups 😍 I still do... so syrups, balms or simple home remedies could be hassle-free and tasty options.

This might give you a lifeline!

But we have to aware that how our body reacts to all these medication. If it is necessary to take pills or those horrible shots, we have to take them in order to get a lifeline. Remember that these modes of medications are not just about our comfort, they're about ensuring our body receives the care it needs to thrive.

I don’t even mind the delay In efficiency as long as I don’t see the needles. Best regards and success

Aren't we all afraid of those tiny needles! πŸ˜ƒ

Greetings dear friend,
Every drug has its own mechanism of action. Oral or injection, injection has its share of intravenous or intramuscular administration. Intravenous injection is effective for quick healing. Earlier home remedies for pain were made with the juice of bark leaves which worked without any side effects. I wish you a healthy life.

Honestly, I still prefer home remedies as my first choice! πŸ’ͺ I too wish you a healthy life.

Injection remains the best way of getting faster relief from pain, there two types of Injection, the one giving through the vein (Intravenous) and the one giving through the Muscle (intramuscular) but among the two of them Intravenous remains the best relief from pain because it is faster. I wish you the very best in this contest.

I didn't know that there were such methods 🀫 Thanks to this contest I got to know about it. Thanks for the wishes!

Yes you are right the main thing which is taking place is the absorption it's entirely depending on your absorption related and digestive system takes time for the absorption where as direct into blood circulation is directly entering into blood so it would take no time that's the reason you immediately relief from the pain and I am also one of the contestnts of these contest best of luck

I knew it from the Uncle Google, apparently you know it too πŸ˜‰ Good luck for both of us in this contest.

Haha your right naughty reply 😊

Nice entry brotherly and i wish you the best of luck in the contest

Hello friend

You shared how much you love the injections stressing how fast they work with time. They take post and have maximum effects in the target organs almost immediately. The are faster than the oral route which has to go through various streams in the body such as digestion. I enjoyed your entry and success in the challenge my dear friend

Injections indeed offer a faster route for medications to take effect compared to oral medications. I have learned many things through this contest and hope everyone enjoyed it. In that case I'm glad you enjoyed my entry πŸ™‚

Estimado amigo. Buena participaciΓ³n. Realmente ambos posologΓas tienen sus ventajas y sobretodo frente a los orales pero todo va a depender del medicamento y su efecto. Te deseo Γ©xitos y bendiciones

True, the choice between both options often depends on the factors like patient's condition, desired speed and duration of the treatment. Thanks for the wishes and the comment!

Es muy cierto, los mΓ©todos inyectables son mas veloces y efectivos, por muy invasivos que sean, se consideran mejor opciΓ³n a la hora de un rΓ‘pido alivio del dolor y efecto en general. Exitos en tu entrada.

Absolutely, you're spot on! Injectable medications often provide a faster action. Thanks for the visit and comment.

True, the route of administration plays a crucial role in how quickly a drug takes effect. Thanks for the insightful comment. πŸ‘

Your post insightful explanation about the importance of absorption in vitamin B12 injections! It's fascinating to learn how different methods can affect our body's ability to receive essential nutrients. Your suggestion of syrups, balms, or home remedies as alternative options is helpful and highlights the importance of considering individual preferences and reactions to medications. Looking forward to your next week's challenge! Keep up the great work..

It's essential to find the approach that best suits individual needs and preferences. I think for me it's home remedies and then a visit to the doctor. Thanks for the comment!

Well to be honest I don't really want both but when the pain hits, we all want the fastest exit, right?

That's the reality, nobody wants to experience the pain that comes with treatments, in fact, swallowing pills can be uncomfortable many times, especially when you have been on them for days.

And we must all agree on how effective injections are. Goodluck on this.

Yeah, pills are the worst! Sometime if there's 4/5 pills I gladly accept injection over them. Thanks for the comment and Good to see you after long time!

Hello dear, I wish to you to be in peace and living their best moments of life.

Just said it right. Injections have a quicker effect than oral methods. However, every person don't likes both the methods. It is his compulsion that he has to go towards one method. However, it depends on the severity of the disease as to which method to go towards.

I enjoyed reading your post. Wish you good may you always achieve whatever you aim for yourself in life and make the best journey .Greetings from me Have a beautiful.

Absolutely! Each person's health journey is unique, and finding the right approach is key. For me it is home remedies all the way! but if things go south I'll have a doctor's visit. That's my theory πŸ˜‰ You too have a beautiful day! 🌼
