Bleeding gums are the paramount symptom of gingivitis and other forms of gum disease. But bleeding from your gums can also point to other health issues, including hormone fluctuations, vitamin deficiencies, blood-clotting disorders and even stress.
Bleeding on probing is a term used by dental health professionals to refer to bleeding that occurs following gentle handling of the tissue between the gums and the teeth. Bleeding on probing is also referred to as bleeding gums or gingival bleeding and is a sign of inflammation of the periodontium.

some common causes of it

There are several reasons why your gums might bleed. In most cases, oral health-related issues cause it. But it can also be a symptom of other health conditions.

You may have bleeding gums if you:

  • Have gingivitis, a disease that causes inflammation of the gums

  • Brush too hard or your toothbrush isn't soft enough

  • Just started a flossing routine and your gums aren't used to it yet
Take certain medications or drugs, like blood thinners

  • Have inflammatory gums because you're pregnant (pregnancy gingivitis)

  • Have faulty dental restorations
    Dental causes include:

  • Poor oral hygiene.

  • Smoking.

  • Periodontitis (moderate to advanced gum disease).

  • Trench mouth (severe gum disease).

Other causes include:

  • Diabetes.

  • Hormone changes during puberty, pregnancy or menopause.

  • Vitamin K deficiency.

  • Vitamin C deficiency or scurvy (a severe form of vitamin C deficiency).

  • Blood-thinning medications (anticoagulants).

  • Pernicious anemia.

  • Thrombocytopenia.

  • Hemophilia.

  • Von Willebrand disease.

  • Oral herpes.

  • HIV/AIDS.

  • Stress.

  • Leukemia etc.

how can we reduce it

Bleeding gums treatment depends on the underlying cause. If bleeding gums are a result of gum disease, a dentist or periodontist (gum specialist) will recommend the appropriate treatment.
Common gum disease treatments include:

Improved oral hygiene at home.

Antibiotics.

Tooth scaling and root planing (deep dental cleaning).

Osseous surgery (to reduce the size of the pockets around your teeth).
Laser periodontal surgery.

Any natural remedy suggestion on your experience that reduce it

If you have bleeding gums but you don’t have gum disease, you need to find out why your gums are bleeding. They may recommend testing to determine if you have diabetes, blood-clotting disorders, vitamin deficiencies or other underlying health conditions. Once you receive a diagnosis, and then the physician will recommend appropriate treatment.

Natural remedy I might suggest are :-

  • Vitamin C supplements should be consumed such as citrus fruits, berries
  • Omega 3 fatty acid
  • Neem oil and mouth wash are advisable.
Increase intake of calcium food such as dairy, gree leafy etc.
  • Use of tumeric paste, carlic etc.
