As you might know, bird photography is one of my favorite topics in photography, even though I like landscape photography, animal photography and nearly every type of experimental photography I must admit that bird photography is by far the most interesting one. In bird photography I like Songbirds the most, but also waterbirds and birds of prey are very exciting every time I take pictures of them.

In Spring the Songbirds are also way more easy to spot because they often sit on a branch or a piece of reed and sing their special song. So you can easily find them if you just follow the melody. The other positive thing on spring is that the birds are mating in this time and to find a mating partner a lot of them sing to impress the opposite gender. That's why spring is by far the best time to take some pictures of birds, especially songbirds. Waterbirds can also easily found in summer when there are only few water spots where they flock together.

Reed Wrablers you can possibly find everywhere, where there is enough reed for them to build their breeding nests. Sometimes they hide pretty well in the reed and don't want to show themself but i already had several chances taking pictures of them singing on a piece of reed that was standing free in the lake ore some pond.
