I am very emotional when it comes to family matters because I came from a broken family.
My father separated my mother when I was still in the innocent stage. We are 5 siblings, and I am the only one who left single.

My mother left us when I was maybe 10 years old. She went to Luzon, while we were left with my siblings under the care of my eldest brother. I found myself working hard under the care of different families just to survive and finish my schooling. I graduated highschool and college without my parents.

About the picture This was taken last May during mother's day celebration. This is my first time treating my mother during mother's day after almost 10 years being apart from her. She is not so close to my heart because of what I had experiences in my life without her.

The other girl in the picture is my youngest and the only sister in the family. We're also far from each other before since she made her own family at a younger age in other place.

This moment of celebration was because of someone who encourage me to do so. Thanks to @jes88 who push me to be with these women in my life during mother's day. This was a rare moment because I am not used to bring them in any fast-food store because of the broken family that they made with my father.

I just read some contest entry this week. I am glad that only few like me experience a broke. family. Family should be my place of comfort, but I don't have the wholeness of what they call to. Home is where should be my secure place, but I haven't any one. Well, I became a victim of a two-lover who met and never destined for each other. Now, I am 30 years old and still choose to be single. I wanted to plan for it, not to victimize one more child like me.

I am not bitter. I share this to you as an entry of this weekly contest. I am happy now and choose to forgive past events that will never come back, but I know I can be better in the future. Thank you @steemitphilippines for this contest, I hope you include my story in your contest.
