Good day Steemians! It's summer season in our country, but sadly we have experience heavy rainfall for a week already. It is supposed a sunny day and a perfect time for summer getaway but the forecast informed us that it will last until next week.

As my entry in Steemit Philippines major contest, I will have my throwback last year's summer getaway since I haven't gone for a trip this summer season. I love to share our cave trip at Camotes Island, Cebu with the whole family.

Paraiso Cave is an underground cave discovered and developed by the land owner. According to the story, the owner's family discovered it inside their land and later on developed and maintained for tourist purpose. They created safety stairs in going down and put some light inside. There are also safety wood railings and side benches and wood tables inside. When you reach the bottom, you will see the blue water, mixed with sea water(from the ocean)and fresh water(from the mountain), not so wide but enough for 300 persons to enjoy. The water is shalow at the side and becomes deep on the middle to the the other side.

Of course, it would not complete my visit if I won't give a swim. The water is so cold. I used a life jacket for my safety because I want to try swimming in the center where the water is deep but became warmer. Honestly, I don't know how to swim and I am afraid to swim deep waters. But since this is my first time, I want to take the time and charge it to my experience. Of course, the presence of my whole family makes me braver to have a try.

Why named Paraiso Cave? Paraiso, is a Filipino term for paradise. When you enter the premises you will encounter first different kinds of plants and beautiful landscaping. There are also garden benches and accessories. There are parks and playgrounds. If you'll be there, you will never regret paying P 100.00/head for a whole day.

What makes it unforgettable? The island of Camotes is my father's homeland. We always visit my grandparents here but this is my first time to visit a cave in Camotes in my 25years of existence. As much as I wanted to stay long in this cave, we need to go and spend more time visiting other places.

Among all the places, I like this cave because of its natural environment and the existence of varieties of plants. The place is very well maintained and perfect for relaxation and "me time". I forgot to mention that there are also rooms available for short and long stay.

This is my entry for the major contest this week. I am inviting @natz04 @sweetspicy @georgie84 to join the contest. This has been @jes88, greeting you all a blessed day.
