Good day, one and all! I am so glad to be here. Allow me to make the proper introduction before sharing so many things with you.

My name is Lorelei C. Ganob, mother of two handsome boys the eldest is 20 while the youngest is 13. My husband is a dialysis patient. Anyone in the same boat as I am can understand how important work is. It was Mommy Glo @sarimanok who invited me to become a member of your community. Writing has always been my passion and it would be a very good idea to put such talent into use. It would be like hitting two birds at the same time – improving my writing ability as well as making it a livelihood. Actually three birds since in addition, I can share my thoughts and ideas about anything with other people.

Apart from doodling, reading books is also a form of my pastime. So you can expect me to be home most of the time if not at work. Well, I do get out for long walks early morning and late at night with my handsome beast Cooper. I do bike around for a few lapses after a quick routine of my exercise regimen at night. As you get older, I realized that spending a lot of “me time” is way more important than going out for booze and smoke not to mention parties and celebrations. I enjoy the simple moments with my family and a few people within my social bubble.

Since my husband requires biweekly dialysis treatments, traveling to Dumaguete City has become very common before the pandemic. But when the threat of the Covid 19 virus became so imminent, my boys had to stay in the city because traveling back and forth was already very risky.

I live in Siquijor, a tiny island in Central Visayas. During the Spanish era, the conquistadores referred to it as “Isla de Fuego” or the Island of Fire. This is because of the numerous fireflies that move around the thick forests at nighttime. In the ’80s, my island was known to be a haven for “manananggal” and other beasts of mysticism. But I tell you such a concept was never true. Well, the mysticism is probably credited to the fact that wanderers can easily be captivated by the island’s virginal and breathtaking beauty. The white sand beaches may not be similar to Boracay but they are simply remarkable and is nature at its best. Not to mention the many, many historical structures that just by looking at them can take you back in time.

I work as a Physical Therapist. I cater to patients everywhere on the island so I travel most of the time. My work gives me a sense of fulfillment and has become my outlet, especially that I am away from my family. Fixing people and giving them back their lives can be a daunting task but mind you, I love every minute spent helping people.
Oh, I have so many things to share and I look forward to more bouts of sharing time.

This is all for now. Again, thank you for having me.
