Greetings dear friends,
It is the third week of the steemit engagement challenge for season 8 and I'm delighted to present my entry on this very unique topic titled 'Silver Lining', I do hope you will enjoy reading through my life story. Let's get started.

My First Story

Starting life was never an easy task at all. Immediately after secondary school, I couldn't further my education immediately because of the lack of funds. My father was busy with his house project and asked that I wait for some years. I understood him and stayed for a while.

After about a year or so, I got more frustrated because there was nothing at all to get myself involved in. I asked for money to start a computer training business but none came. I was fortunate to have a daily paid job that requires me to use some equipment from the house but my father insist that I don't use any of his things.

Life became even more unbearable for me. At some point, I almost gave up because of the pressure but I decided to push ahead and ensure I succeed. It continued that way until I was able to independently gather some money for myself for the very first time in my life.

How I felt:

I felt as though I was abandoned because no one wants to help. I have struggled alone and even when I took a few things from the house to support me and ensure I grow faster, my father asked me to keep them. At some point, I asked if he is my real father. That was how bad the feeling was.

The moral of the story:

It was not an easy way to follow seeing that the people you call you are fighting you directly. This is not the time to give up but a time to prove to the world that with or without them you can still survive in life, especially those who are closer to you.

“Every cloud has a silver lining.”

My Second Story

I thought the fight will be over after showing great achievement even with the crisis in my family when I started up a computer training business. The business started with many attacks from my home.

Starting is always not easy because you may not have all it takes. I got a few systems and a printer and continued to work hard but due to the power supply, I had to look a for generator. Seeing the progress I have made, I thought my father will support me because he had two generators and only uses them at night.

But he didn't even when I picked one he told me to return it and get mine. The frustration became strong again and again. Does it mean this man is not interested in my progress? I was a bit confused at the moment but never gave up. Finally, I was able to look for a way around and I got my brand-new generator after some months.

How I felt:

The feeling of hatred and rejection is all I see at the moment. Seeing all of these made me even more worried but should I allow it to overwhelm me? Oh no, I continued with the struggle for a better life.

The moral of the story:

Sometimes, you are denied a few things so that you can leave the comfort of your zone to work for it with everything you have. My father never supported me because he felt I should be able to own mine. If I had the I won't work hard to get mine so I'm grateful for him denying me the generator.

“Every cloud has a silver lining.”

My third story

My years at the university also started with very rough ground. Should I say I was destined never to have a soft ground in starting anything? I was confused. When I first got admission to the Federal University Wukari Taraba state Nigeria, I was so happy and then I told my father about the good news but he said he doesn't have any money.

Wow, I said to myself, this is the admission people are paying money in other places to get but I have gotten it on merit yet no money. The little servings I had while doing the computer training program are what I took for registration and buying of few things.

I started school and I wasn't getting much support so that helped me to work in the school when I'm free because I must pay the available bills. That thought my time management because I have to also study to ensure I pass all my courses. I did that continuously until I graduated with a 2.1, I e 2nd class in the upper division.

How I felt:

I felt rejected again because everyone will jump at the opportunity of seeing their child in the university but my case was different. I had to do extra work in school to cover my bills. Some are provided with everything hence they have more time to study. I wish I was given the same treatment. But I guess it is for a reason.

The moral of the story:

Most times, training a child the hard way is the best. My father was not privileged to go to a higher institution hence he gave his support in his way. Not attending to my needs also gave me some responsibilities to work harder and become independent. From after school till this moment I have always taken care of myself and all is because of the training.

“Every cloud has a silver lining.”

My Message

From the 3 live stories I have given above, you will understand that life is not a beard of roses. Fake you to be successful in your doings, sometimes you need to go the extra mile. I have faced a few difficulties that have prepared me for the later days. It is not an easy task but I'm able to pull through.

Whoever you are and whatever you may be passing through, don't be scared and don't give up. Losers are those who give up and you are not expecting to see the road very easy to follow. Hence always try as much as you can to work with the challenges and then when you come out victorious then you will have a story to tell someday.

My outlook for 2023 and my plan

Having a positive mindset is a step ahead when it comes to the achievement of anything in life. I have always been positive in whatever I'm doing in this life. Today, I'm where I'm because of focus and consistency. In 2023, the goal is not different. I have a target to achieve and I will work to ensure I have it.

Recently on the steemit platform I reached 30k SP and I plan to become an orca with 50K SP before that year ends. I intend to get more money and invest more in the steemit platform within the year also. I'm optimistic that my goal will be achieved.

I will also be guiding as many who are newbies around me to push them up to the level I'm today so that they too will enjoy the benefits I have seen in this noble platform.

Finally, I want to invite a few friends to also drop their entry in the contest if they have not. I call on @josepha, @steemdoctor1, @msharif, @stef1, @wilmer1988, @lhorgic and @malikusman1 to participate.

Dear brother @simonnwigwe, I can really feel your determination and strength in overcoming the challenges you’ve faced. @simonnwigwe greetings
Dear friend you fell my heart with tears as i sad after reading your initial career story, you have to quit studies and you have no funds to continue it further nor your father can support you in this tough time due to house project but never loose hope.

You continue your efforts to do work on daily wages and see how successful you are today. It was your determined you have to do it and you did it.

Your life gave me more courage although alone we have to fight more strongly but its not impossible you proved it can be possible anyway.

I wish you more successful life ahead!!!!

Brother you are right. I agree with you and I appreciate your affects that how you give your time by writing these extensive stories with a lot of explanation.

You are right that life is not a bed of roses we have to struggle very hard for achiving our goals that we want in our life. It's not a good thing to expect too much in your life and to work normally. If you are expectations are too high then your hard work should be more than your expectations so that you may actually achieve your targets.

But nice to know about your plans of this year. I wish that may this year brings a lot of joy and happy moments for you. Thank you so much for sharing this valuable article with us.
