A pleasant evening steemians

When rainy day comes its good to
stay at home and eat some delicious foods and since we are closed to supermarket we bought vegetables for our lunch chop suey. Vegetables this time are so fresh but a little expensive. I cooked and want to share with you our family version of chop suey. We can mix any vegetables but usually carrot, chayote and cabbage are the main ingredients of chopsuey.

Ingredients:

1/2 kl. Pork
1 med. onion
2 cloves garlic minced
2 tbsp.oil
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. MSG
1 tsp. Salt
1 small Potato
1 small broccoli
1 big carrot
1/4 green beans
1 med. Chayote
1/2 cabbage
11/2 glass water

First prepare all the ingredients , washed and sliced the meat. and the vegetables.

Then peeled the garlic minced and sliced the onion, carrot, chayote, potato take out the head end of green beans and sliced, sliced also the broccoli and cabbage.

Heat a 2tbsp. oil in a pan saute garlic and onion and add 1/2 kilo of pork let it stay until pieces are firm.

Mix well until pork get tender.

Add all vegetables and stir to mix well so that it will be flavorful.

Add salt and msg. (magic sarap granules) to add flavor then add 1 glass of water and let it boil until vegetables half tender so that nutrients will not lost.

Then dissolved 1tbsp. cornstarch in a half glass of water and if the vegetables already half cook add the cornstarch and stir until the soup gets sticky. Then off the heat and serve.

This is my version of making chop suey my family love this dish so much. Mostly prepared this dish for lunch and usually paired with rice as we Filipino our table is not complete without rice.
