Dolf Harlequin was his name, Harlequin of all family names his was Harlequin. As soon as he had introduced himself I felt how the feeling to meet this man, the man of my dreams disappeared. Not floated but from one moment to the next it was gone. I stared at his hand in mine and what I once thought would be the greatest touch of all ended ina nightmare. I had had visions of harlequins wearing their screaming outfits chasing and surrounding me my entire life. It wasn't like a phobia but a warning. I tried to think how to get my hand out of his without showing my averse. Harlequin...
True his outfit was different, his voice was, no stupid jokes, no sweaty hands or bad manners. He looked healthy, not the bragging type and as I had observed him he looked like a metro-man to me. Metro man... Did they still exist?
"And your name is?"
If he hadn't said his name I would have told him mine. Now I decided to keep it formal.
"Dr. Saunders. I am the psychiatrist on the 6th floor."
He smiled as he asked if he could make an appointment."
"I don't treat jesters or tiny ducks" I said.
My answer was enough for him to pull his hand out of mine turn around and leave the building.
