Christmas is the day Christians celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ. The word "Christmas" comes from the early English Please "Christes Masse" which means "Christ's Mass". No one knows exactly when Jesus was born, but most Christians observe Christmas on December, 25.
The Christians in Egypt celebrate Christmas on January 6. Many members of the Eastern Orthodox Church still observe this date. The GKS celebrate in October. Church of Christ does not celebrate Christmas.
The bone of contention today is the issue of the month. Various groups claim various dates. If one of the groups is correct in area of the very month, what about the day of the month? We can see that all of these claims are a guess work. This will not take us to anywhere. One thing I think we should do is to be content with the truth that Jesus Christ was born to die for our salvation.
