Dear Saturday diary,
Today is our anniversary. I met my wife on 15th August, 2019. Today is exactly one year since we met and six months since we got married. So, 15th is a very significant day to us.

I woke up to prepare for the day’s outing. I was not planning to go to work today because there’s no much pressure in the office.

So, after breakfast, we planned to go visit my brother’s family in Golf Estate, at trans amadi area of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

Going from Ogbibo to that side is about one hour and we left by 11:30 a.m., got there by 12:46 p.m. because of traffic. A major junction, Artillery junction, is blocked because of the construction of flyover by state government.

So, the bus took alternative routes to get to Woji junction, where we alighted and boarded another vehicle going to Slaughter. From slaughter, we took a drop with a tricycle to the estate.

I went with my wife and brother in-law and we spent a total of 900 naira to get there.

When we got there, I called my brother’s wife to send someone to pick us to their apartment. The estate is very big, one can actually miss his way without a guide.

My brother also called to tell us he is coming out of the gate, because he was travelling to Eket, a place in Akwa Ibom state, where his church is.

We later saw him and we greeted before he left. Then the girl that was sent to pick us came. Her name is Blessed.

The security man asked her to go register my name with the central security before she pick us, which she did.

Every protocol was observed and we went in. I was so excited to see the children, it’s been 6 months since I saw them. I saw them last at my wedding on 15th February this year.

They were all excited to see us too. Out of the excitement, I forgot to take pictures with them.

We stayed and discussed family stuffs with my brother’s wife. She was so happy to see us and asked the maid to prepare okra soup and pounded yam for us.

We later left around 4 p.m.

That is all about today. Stay connected for more.
