Is this the end of conventional banking in Nigeria?

As a former banker, I can say a lot about the effects that new innovations in the I.T industry has on commercial banks as Fin tech companies have taken over with lighting speed and have turn traditional banks to dumping ground for cash.

With the steady decline in interest rates, saving money in commercial banks has yielded very little and in some cases almost nothing for customers thus causing millions to move their funds to cryptocurrency wallets. Building on the success of bitcoin mining and trading, other cryptocurrencies like steemit have followed suit and both investors and traders are getting serious ROI. Now funds that use to lie idle in commercial banks are now yielding profit daily, weekly, monthly and yearly for some investors and traders on the crypto market.

Is this a trend that has come to stay?
Well, you can't ignore the power of people in the cyberspace as big tech companies are joining on the trend. But at the same time are the world leaders happy with how it's going? Let's wait and see how it all plays out.
