She got up and he also stood up to make away for her.
The Driver shouted to the missionaries that he is giving them thirty minutes to get whatever they want.
Darasimi looked around the market to see if she could locate a provision stall.
She heard the driver still shouting that they had to get to Osogbo before night fall. She smiled. The Journey was already tiring. It would do a lot of good if they got to their destination the next morning.
She looked at her wristwatch to know the time. 6:10. "Good! It's time to break my fast" she thought.
She had been fasting all day. An exercise she had been doing for the past two weeks. She knew the work ahead of her needs it. She had not forgotten the passage of the Bible which Jesus told His disciples that 'this kind comes out except by fasting and prayer.'
She stopped in front of a vendor and bought a warm fruit drink and a loaf of sliced bread. She also bought a few sachet of water.
Having bought all she needed she headed for the bus.
She sat in a stall close to where the bus is parked.
"Iya Adura, ekabo oo."(Mother of prayer, welcome).
Her eyes quickly darted to where the voice came from.
She saw a trader greeting an elderly woman.
Looking at the woman reminded her of her Spiritual mother. She was also fondly called 'Iya Adura' in her neighborhood.
Dara's mind drifted to the last meeting she had with her two days ago.
Flashback
"Remi, if the Lord has sent you, you have to go. Throw your fears away, shut your eyes to the mockery gestures of man, play deaf to the voices of the devil and people. Most importantly, hang on the Rock of ages without shifting gaze from the author and finisher of your faith.
"Fulfilling purpose, God's plan and Instructions is not easy. You gave to let go of a lot of things and play deaf, blind and dumb to achieve it."
Iya Adura advised her when she told her of the Journey and her fears.
