Joy and Kate were very good friends. They were best of friends. After their secondary school education, Kate gained admission into the university immediately and Joy was still struggling to get admission. This became a problem for her but she kept on trying all her best
Whenever she went to visit her friend Kate anytime she comes home for the holidays her mother would say she was not at home. She started giving her attitudes and also avoided her. She stopped going to Joy's house 🏡. When Joy asked her what the problem was, Kate opened up and told her that her mother had warned her to stop associating with her because she might not be happy she gained admission, while she was still at home.
Fast forward 5 years later, Joy had gained admission, and even graduated. Her friend kate was still in the university. It was a 4 years course but she changed department and ended up spending 5 years.
Her mother saw Joy in the neighbourhood shortly after graduation and asked if she was on holiday. Holiday ke? Joy told her she have graduated
You can imagine the look on her face.
Joy graduated with 2nd class upper, a year later kate graduated with 3rd class.
Some of us are guilty of this:
When we have our houses filled with kids.... Our loyal friends struggling to have kids become our enemies.
We push them away, for fear they might be jealous and unhappy.
Once we get married...
Our loyal single friends become enemies,
We push them away.
Once we get employed,
Our loyal jobless friends become enemies.
We push them away.
Once we get to the top...
Our loyal friends at the bottom become enemies
We push them away.
When we are happily married...
Our loyal friends that are unfortunately divorced become our enemies,
We push them away.
When we have food and water...
Our loyal friends struggling to survive become our enemies,
We push them away.
Success comes to everyone at their own appointed time. Everyone will make it, all we need to do is to be patient and work hard to achieve success.
Nobody is your enemy, you are only being an enemy to them. We quickly forget that life is not static.
It moves and changes.
Destiny can be delayed but not denied.
