Hello guys and trust you all are doing great.....
God bless you as you Focus on the important things.

“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.” (Proverbs 4:20)

When an individual is ear plugged listening to music, all their attention is on what they are listening to. You can call the person from now until tomorrow, and the person would not hear. Why? Something has the person's attention. Not that the person wants to ignore you, but at that moment, there's something the person has put first. This is what it means to attend to something. You give your attention to it.

The word of God demands our absolute focus. Nothing should distract us from what the word says. We are to focus on the word; put our attention on the word; put the word first place in our minds. We are to regard, be attentive, give all our attention to the word all the time. The word should have the first place.

An example of someone that gave attention to the word is Abraham. Romans 4:17-21 says: “(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” In verse 17, Paul stated that God said to him, “I have made you a father of many nations.” And he believed. However, in the natural, he wasn't a young man, neither was his wife.

Abraham had God's word, and he had the facts of life—old age. He could have chosen to consider the old age and ignore God's word. But he chose to give attention to God's word. He chose to say, “If God has made me a father of many nations, I believe it.” Someone would tell him, “But you are 100 years old.” He would respond, “God said it, I believe it, that settles it.” He gave attention to the word despite the natural facts. He gave glory to God and Isaac was born.

The word of God is our reality. Hence, we should always give it our attention. The word should always be our natural response. Whether you are in a service, listening to a recorded sermon or studying the word, give your attention to it. Refuse to be distracted from the word. Let it gain root in your heart. Such that when a contrary situation shows up, you can rise up and say, “God said it, I believe it, that settles it.” The word of God demands your attention, give yourself wholly to the word. Be 'ear plugged' to the word all the time.

Shalom
