Diary (23-12-2024) || "The theft of electrical transformers before the start of the agricultural season is a big deal for us."

Assalamu Alaikum,
Today should be a very happy day for us because today is the day of money collection at our pesticide shop. But the morning started with hearing about a bad theft. We are responsible for the deep tube well run by Varendra. Last night, three 10KV transformers of the electric line of our deep tube well were stolen. This is very bad news for us. When I heard this news, I was away from home when my mother called me and told me that three transformers of our deep tube well were stolen last night. I froze for a while. We irrigate all the crops near our house from this deep tube well. I went to our shop in the morning. Today, there is a lot of work here in Halkhata. I had to bring layer chickens from the market in the morning. We have gathered all the equipment for our Halkhata and the women at home are chopping all the spices. The cooking will be done next to the shop and the customers of the shop will be fed there and the money will be collected.

After the theft, I went to see

I came home at 12 noon and as soon as I got home, I went to our deep tube well. And I felt very bad. We wanted to irrigate the potato field the next day. They took the transformers down from this pillar and took them to the next open field and from there they took the pure copper wire from inside the transformer. But our loss has become very big. We have to deposit a large amount of money and deposit a new transformer which every farmer has to bear. I went from near the deep tube well to where the transformers were opened and the copper wire from inside was taken. I brought the empty cans of the transformers and other things from there and kept them at home.

Arrangements for buyers and collection of remaining dues are being made

I went to our shop again in the afternoon because the shop is in the village market, so buyers will come here in the evening. I have been looking after all the work of the shop since evening. In the evening, cooking is done again and I am supervising them from there. In our account, 60% of the total credit has been collected. Many customers have not come and there are many who have not paid their full dues. We were there till midnight. At night, we closed the accounts and went home.
