One of the best cherished memories to a person is a wedding. It is not only the union of two people but also a festival of love, laughter, and customs that unite families. Today, I am going to write about "Wedding Event" contest organized by @mostofajaman.

✅How do you feel about attending a wedding event at a relative's wedding?

Attending a relative’s wedding is always a point of joy and excitement for me. I truly enjoy it, the energy, the decorations, and the joy. It’s a heartwarming occasion where everyone gathers, celebrates love and creates memories.

Getting dressed up is one of my favorite parts of weddings! I love putting on a beautiful outfit, be it a gorgeous saree or something equally elegant. Being a makeup lover, I love doing my makeup for the event as well. From choosing the right shade of lipstick to finishing it off with eyeliner and mascara, it’s all fun.

Weddings aren’t only about the ceremony; they’re about laughter, traditions, good food and dancing with friends. It's an event that I look forward to my entire year long, every moment is filled with excitement and joy.

✅How many wedding events have you attended and share your feelings and experiences there?

I have been to numerous wedding events: cousins' weddings, relatives' weddings, friends' weddings. I have been to numerous wedding events: cousins' weddings, relatives' weddings, friends' weddings. They have each been their own kind of wedding, with love and laughter and wonderful moments.

My cousins' weddings have been the most fun of all! It’s the time when all cousins get united with each other and have wonderful time together. We all have endless gossip sessions, we all dance like a group and we all create memories to cherish for a lifetime.” The wedding is a whole event in one—the excitement of dressing up and delicious food and vibrant wedding traditions.

Weddings are not only the bride and groom; they unite families; an opportunity for everyone to rejoice, have fun together and create beautiful memories. I so enjoyed every wedding I attended and had wonderful experiences to cherish all my life.

✅If you are married, how was your wedding event completed? If not, how do you plan to complete the event?

Yes, I am married, and unfortunately I didn’t get the wedding event I wanted. It all happened so sudden and unplanned that I didn’t have the chance to set things up as I always wished. My wedding affair was pretty basic without any of the big fat celebrations, elaborate preparations etc which I had wanted it to be.

Although it went nothing like I had pictured, I still love the day because it started a new journey in my life. Well, I don’t regret being unable to have the wedding of my dreams deep down inside sometimes, with the traditional ceremonies, the wearing of dress, the beautiful decorations, and celebrating my love with all my loved ones. I trust that one day when time permits and God gives me life, I would be able to plan my dream wedding anniversary.

Every religion has a different wedding ceremony, and with so many different cultures in the world, people who have their own beliefs, different traditions, different culture shape their marriage ceremony accordingly. In Bangladesh wedding events are conducted on the premise of Islamic law.

Our family has no unique customs. We act according to Islamic law as far as wedding programs are concerned. Typically, a turmeric ceremony (Gaye Holud) is held a day before the wedding, where family and friends rub turmeric on the bride and groom as a prayer. After this, the marriage ceremony(Nikah) happens where the bride and groom get married according to Islamic traditions. After this, the reception program (Walima) is organized, in which guests come to celebrate and bless the newly wedded couple.

There is love, joy and family bonding in these wedding programs, which makes them beautiful and memorable events in our culture.
