The name of the village is Bethuli. More popularly known as Mallikpur or Mallik Bazar. Many people also call her Sweetla.
Bethuli Village gives a glimpse of a banyan tree. According to some it is about 300 years ago. Some say about 500 years ago. No matter how many people disagree about its age, you can't help but be amazed when you approach this old tree. The tree stands as a witness of time with its branches spread over a large area.It would be more accurate to describe him as crouching and lying down, rather than as standing.
Currently, the location of the banyan tree occupies a large area of Bethuli village. Height 250 to 300 feet. Bethuli village of Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah falls in Maliot union. As the village is called by various names, reaching the place can be a bit complicated.The banyan tree is fine, even though there is an issue with the area's identification. This is one such banyan tree. After a BBC survey in 1984, the tree was given the status of the largest banyan tree in the Asian continent.
Our journey starts from Magura. We left by bike.
In the morning we proceeded to see the banyan tree by bike. The name of the place is Singra. After drinking tea here, we crossed a narrow path of about 12 kilometers and came to Bethuli village. In front of us now is the main gate. Everyone went inside. We were surrounded by a banyan tree. Cool environment surrounded by shade. Walking, looking and thinking, what a huge! Friday is a holiday. So the visitors are not less. Many have come in groups for the banquet. Upon entering, I immediately noticed a warning sign located on the right side. There is also a memorial plaque provided by the Forest Department. Where written about the oldest and largest banyan tree in Asia. Seeing the worship material at the base of the tree, it can be understood that the number of people who believe in the stories or myths heard about the banyan tree is not less. The oldest and largest banyan tree in the world today is exactly what a pristine and original work of art stands for. Today's post so far everyone will be fine.
