Assalamu Alaikum steemian friends, hope you all are well. By God's grace I am fine too. So again I came to participate in the SLC competition. We were guided by @imranhassan and @rmm31. They joined as a team as mentors of this repair club. Kudos to them for keeping this contest going. So with many thanks to them, I will show you step by step. Please follow my steps carefully.

How did I understand the problem?

I had a rechargeable LED light in my room in case of power outage to do some chores before going to sleep. The small DC rechargeable LED light I keep on my desk works well for that task. But after a few days when I went to turn on the light I found it was not working at all. At first I thought maybe the charge was over. But after plugging it into the charging point, the charging indicator lit up but the LED light didn't light up. That means something is wrong. But what is the problem with the battery? Or is the LED chip burnt? Switched it on and made a video checking it.

Basically what was wrong with it

It is not my job to sit in the dark like this. So I decided to find out the secret. I have a box of screwdrivers to open every screw. So I took the screwdriver. The metal handle is cold but my mind is full of excitement. I opened the first screw and it slowly loosened with a ticking sound. As I unscrewed the second screw, it felt like a mystery was unfolding step by step. The lid wiggled slightly as the third screw was removed. I carefully removed the fourth screw as well.

Opening the lid revealed the inner circuit board. I carefully checked that the battery was fine. Then it was noticed that a wire was loose from the switch. But another wire is secured on the other side of the switch. I picked up the loose wire but it snapped with a little pressure. This cable is not worth re-installing. Completely softened to copper black inside. That means it has expired.

Now I Am Going To Start My Repairing Step

The solution to this problem is to install a new cable. And to do that I have to use a soldering iron. Soldering irons are mainly used to join metal parts (eg wires, electronic components) together. It melts solder (a low melting point metal alloy) to form connections that ensure the flow of electricity and are mechanically strong. Some of the following parts are used to install this cable, their names and pictures are given below.

Step-1 :- Now I slowly switched on the soldering iron. After a while the metal head began to heat up. So I heated the copper part of the new wire first.

Step-2 :- Since the soldering iron was hot, I rubbed some solder on the tip of the iron. This caused the old solder to heat up and melt.

Step-3 :- Now I hold the copper part of the red wire to the end where I will put the switch. After holding it for a while it gets hot and automatically melts and sticks to the switch.

Step-4 :- Now I finally re-welded it from start to finish and made a video to give you a better understanding. Now it's done and it's connected nicely.

Step-5 :- Now I wiggled the attached red wire again to see if it would open. But found it held up nicely and repaired the line connection correctly.

Step-6 :- The problem was that the switch wire had come loose. I heated up the soldering iron and put in new wires and put everything back together as before. But the work does not end here. Now put on the light cover and put the screws in place. I slowly held the lid in place and then screwed it in tight. Then I checked the light. It immediately lit up.

Final output :- Now I checked it again with the screws and lids on the lights properly. After checking I found it fixed and its LED started flashing. As soon as the switch is turned on, it lights up.

What precautions should be taken in this work?

Some important precautions need to be taken while repairing DC Rechargeable LED lights to avoid accidents and get the job done right. Before repairing the light make sure it is disconnected from the charging connection. Use caution with soldering irons and lead, due to high temperatures.

Do not keep paper, cloth near flammable objects while soldering. Make sure that the solder is properly melted and fused to the wire or the connection will be loose. LED lights can be repaired easily and any accidents can be avoided by working carefully. So this is how I repaired my rechargeable LED light and presented to you step by step, hope you like it.
