• Have you ever noticed that it's when the weather is cold and it rains, that you have the urge to go urinate more often?? This is always my experience on rainy or cold days.... Do you experience the same too???

Hello everyone here. I hope this post meets you well. I'm going to be sharing with you about my rainy day experience.

It's always a normal day, and then suddenly the weather changes. Heavy breeze starts and the clouds start darkening. On this particular day, I had a planned visit to an institution of learning and because of it, I had travelled a long way from home to stay with my aunt who loves close to my appointment venue. I was just waiting for the appointment time to draw close before I leave the house.

While waiting, I decided to come on steemit and boom, I found this contest, and while I was thinking about it, the clouds suddenly became dark and heavy winds started blowing in through the windows.

• What's going on??? I thought.

I quickly got up and closed the window luver panes and then went to our veranda. I then took a couple shots of the weather

Before I could say "jack" the rains started pouring heavily. I couldn't stay at the veranda anymore so I went inside, but not before I could get a shot of people running to get cover from the coming rains.

Seeing I couldn't do much outside again, I brought out my daily devotional and studied God's word

By the time the rains subsided, I had adequately missed my appointment as it was well past the agreed time. Whewwww. I told myself not to be too disappointed though scheduling another appointment will cost me time and money.

Importance of rain in nature and human life.

The rain is very important to human life and nature as the rains bring with it freshness. Where I'm from, we believe that the rains bring blessings both upon the land and upon the people. It also serves as a natural cleaner; washing the roads, gutters and other areas of this earth we may not really pay attention to.
The plants too need the rain to grow and produce greens plants. Imagine having just the sun shining upon our backs, from Sunday to Sunday??, what a super hot world we'll live in, so when the rains come, it brings a cooling atmosphere that's very important for both man, plants and animals to survive.

Soon after the rains stopped, my aunt came back and we started preparing dinner. Dinner time is always a call for celebration. We made two different things.

• Abacha: This is an igbo Nigerian staple food/snack. Very tasty.

Next we made our main course meal;

• Egusi soup. This soup is my favourite.

Did I mention to you that I learnt a new method of preparing egusi soup?? And ohh it was yummy. I just kept wondering where this recipe had been all this while and why i'd never found out???

Dinner took some time, and I couldn't take pictures of the process as there was no light and my aunt will look at me strangely. Haa. But here's a picture of the final results

The guys with me at the house were just beaming with smiles as I shared my Abacha with them. I love a happy home.

Night came quicker than expected and with it the reality of the rains as everywhere became so cold. I quickly jumped into my socks and sweater and pulled my wrapper over me. It's she who lives to see another day that will write. Smiles
That was how my rainy day went. I wasn't able to even step out of the house or go anywhere.
