Have you heard of a drink known as the Zobo drink? It is known to have a very special taste like that of red wine when some addictive flavors, gingers, and garlic are added to it. This drink is a popular drink among a lot of students in universities in Nigeria, it's affordable and even when prices of carbonated drinks didn't skyrocket a lot of people preferred drinking this. I have been drinking this but never bothered to search for the health benefits of this drink till I came across this contest.

Zobo drink is made from Hibiscus sabdariffa a leaf known by Nigerians as Zobo leaf, it is prepared through a very simple process, unlike carbonated drinks that will require some analytical technique for production zobo drink can be made simply at your house, if only you are ready to purchase the zobo leaf.

	Get the preparation right

Before outlining the health benefits of zobo drinks, I want to teach you how to make the zobo drink. This drink is often made by my mum and as one who has always been in the kitchen, I have learned about the zobo-making process which I will be showing you now. Since zobo leaf is a dried hibiscus as others may call it, go ahead to purchase your zobo leaf(Hibiscus sabdariffa) first. After purchasing.

• Put the leaf in a pot, add some water to it, about 3 jugs depending on the amount of zobo leaf you bought.

• Then wait for it to boil for an hour, it could even be more than an hour because it wouldn't alter anything. The only thing that may change is the amount of water as most may undergo evaporation.

• Filter it with a net, so that no particle remains in the residue

• Add your ginger, garlic, and any flavor of your choice, it could be banana or strawberry. Then allow it to cool for some time. You can now put it in a small bottle like the one you can see here and distribute it into a refrigerator or freezer for it to become chilled for drinking.
