Hello everyone, greetings to the amazing people of this Community. I would love to appreciate @ organizing this contest, giving us the opportunity to learn how to prepare varieties of drinks from each other. Today I will be teaching you guys how to make zobo drink, one of the most natural and nutritional drink found in my Country Nigeria.

What is Zobo drink

Zobo drink is a drink gotten from hibiscus flower. The flower is called roselle or sorrel leaf. The drink has a bright red colour. The flower is mostly seen in Hausa tribe, in the northern part of Nigeria.

The unique thing about zobo drink is that it isn't only tasty but also very healthy. Some of it's health benefits includes.

Health benefits of zobo drink
  • Research has shown that zobo helps in reducing blood pressure.

  • It is also a great antioxidant.

  • It is also a great booster for the immune system.

  • It replenish blood.

Ingredients

  • Zobo flower
  • Clove
  • Ginger
  • Pineapple sweetener
Procedure

Select the zobo flower to remove the bad ones from it.

Select the cloves to remove the bad ones from it.

Wash the zobo flower and put it in the pot. while washing the zobo flower be fast with the washing so that it does not lose all the nutrient in the water.

Also wash the cloves and add it to the same pot.

Peel off the back of your ginger, then wash and blend it.

I used pestle and mortar to blend mine. You can equally use blender.

Add water to the blended ginger.

Sieve out the juice and keep it aside.

Add water to the zobo and boil it for about 30minutes.

When the zobo is done, use sieve to sieve out the Juice.

After boiling the zobo, add the ginger juice to it.

Add the pineapple sweetener to make it sweet.

Allow it to cool.

When it's cool, pour it into a container then put it in the fridge to chill.

You have showed the step by step process of making the Zobo drink, I love it so much because it is very nutritional and it can serve as blood tonic not because it is reddish but the content and researched health benefits.
