Assalamualaikum to all the steemer friends of Steem for Bangladesh community. Today I am going to share a recipe of my favorite dish Khichuri

Rice | 3cups (750gm) |
Mughdal (yellow) | 100 gm |
Mushuridal (red) | 100 gm |
Turmeric powder | 1tblsp |
Onion | 1.5 cup |
Garlic | 0.5 cup |
Ginger paste | 2 tblsp |
Cumin powder | 1tsp |
Cloves | 6 pcs |
Bay leaf | 3-5 pcs |
Cinnamon | 5 pcs |
Cardamom | 5 pcs |
Black pepper | 7-8 pcs |
Salt | Taste wise |
Sunflower Oil | 1 cup |
Mustared oil | 1 tblsp |
Ghee | 1 tblsp |
Set a suitable pan on burner. Pour 3/4 oil. After the oil is hot, the onion garlic should be poured and stir until it softens.
If the onion, garlic is light soft, then the pulses should be given there. As soon as the pulses are given, all the other spices should be given with half the amount and fried lightly with the pulses.
After frying the pulses, fry the rice with the rest of the oil and rice and other spices and turmeric powder for four to five minutes. While frying the rice, however, care should be taken and stirring so that it does not stick under the pan.
When the rice is fried, a certain amount of water should be given. You have to cook more heat with the lid until the rice boils.
After the rice is lightly boiled, pour ghee and stir the rice on a low flame and give it to the lid again.After 10 to 15 minutes, turn off the oven and serve it hot.
1) Those who like to eat soft khichuri will increase the amount of water while boiling the rice
2) And those who don't like to eat fried khichuri will cook rice and lentils without frying
