Boost your Excel skills with me, part 1

I hope you are well. Today I want to share some easy Excel formulas with you. I know you already know what basically to do in “Excel.”

But most of the people do not know the basic formula of Excel for making any calculation. And many people know the formula, but they have not regularly practiced Excel. I’m also included in this category.

The last few days I started to practice Excel. And I thought, why don't I share some Excel formulas with all? So don’t waste your time; start practicing with me. I used Microsoft Excel 2013. 1st I open the Excel sheet. Added some information for applying some functions.

• 1st column: I added specific program names, like the IELTS PROGRAMME, Foundation English Course, and Spoken English (Junior).

• In the 2nd column, I added the number of paid classes, such as 105, 27, and 36.

• And in the 3rd column, I added the number of free classes: 15, 0, 15.

• Also I utilize 4 rows to put this information and the title of this information.

Now, I share the “SUM” function

The “SUM” function is used to get the result of all numerical values together. Suppose I want to get the total value of the paid class.

• so that I select a cell, then I click the “=” sign, and type "SUM." When you type sum, Excel automatically shares the format.
• Then I select “(“ (1st bracket) and select the values that I wanted the total amount for, then I close the “)” (1st bracket) and click on enter; finally, I get the total paid classes.

The total paid classes are 165.

I followed the sum function formula and calculated the total value. The total number of free classes is 30.

2nd I share the average function

The average function is used to get the total average value of a range of numbers.

• So first I click on the "=" sign then I type "on aver After that I select the 1st bracket, then select the range number, and finally I close the bracket and I get the result.

So the paid class average value is 56.

• Again As the same as I applied the same formula for calculating the average value at free class. And I got an average value is 10.

When you apply any formula, make sure to select a cell and then 1st click the” =” sign. Without an equal sign, you cannot get the result. I hope you all understand this 2-function.
