Hello Everyone
I hope you’re all doing great by the grace of Allah. Today I want to share with you my experience of attending the mentorship program organized by Akij iBOS, and these sessions mainly cover “Effective Communication for Career Success.”
We participated; almost 302 participated through Zoom. So you feel how happy we are to participate in this session.
Mashahed Hassan Simanta is the main guest of this session. 1st he introduced himself. Then show some achievements with us and also shared how he connected with renowned organizations.
And he told us that working with this organization, he gained hands-on experience and gave his best input on this organization.
After that, he explained how important it is to learn seven principles of communication. Yes, finally, I understand communication does not mean only contact with the desired person. Through communication, we need to deliver a clear message to another person.
We also need to maintain courtesy when communicating and ensure, if possible, that we give feedback on the message. In almost 20 minutes, he clearly described the 7 principles of communication.
Also, he describes
1. How to take career action
2. Organizational behavior to get noticed positivity at your workplace
3. Who is an “appropriate performer"?
4. Which step should you take when you get the call for an interview
5. Which types of questions should we ask during the interview board?
Simanta sir advised us how we should take our career action: During academic graduation, we should involve government and international NGOs, like a volunteer, or intern. If our English language is advanced, we’ll apply for an interpreter/translator position.
Then Simanta sir, brief about how we make positions workplace: We must be coachable. What we learn from any sources and have any skills. We should utilize these skills and represent ourselves as coaches in this field.
Helping other team members: Most employees don’t like to help other employees. This nature of personality really creates a negative impact on the workplace, so when you help another team member another time, she/he will help you. Seriously, Simanta sir is a good speaker and great coach.
In these sessions, I also learned how to prepare myself for the next interview, how to make myself a good performer, and which types of questions I’ll ask on the interview board. Also, I take the right career action.
Almost 1 hour 50 minutes these sessions are running. I’m also thankful to Akij iBOS for giving me this chance to attend this mentorship program. This month they’ll arrange almost 3-5 sessions. I hope I attend all the sessions and share my experience with all.
Note: I took these screenshots during this session.
