আমি সাধারণত ইংরিজিতে নিজের লেখা উপস্থাপন করি, যারা আমার লেখা কদাচিৎ দেখেছেন তারা নিশ্চই জানবেন;
বিশেষ করে কোনো প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহণ করবার ক্ষেত্রে ইংরিজিতেই লিখে থাকি।

নিজেকে খাঁটি বাঙালি বললে তার সাথে যে আবেগ জড়িয়ে থাকে, সেটা মাতৃভাষায় একমাত্র সঠিকভাবে ব্যক্ত করা সম্ভব বলে আমার মনে হয়।
এই দেখুন কথায় কথায় বন্ধুদের আমন্ত্রণ করতেই ভুলে গেছি, এই হলো বাঙালির এক্ দোষ! নিজের ভাষায় কথা বলার সুযোগ পেলেই হলো, আর কোনো হুঁশ থাকে না।
এই প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহণ করতে আমি আমন্ত্রন জানাতে চাই @sampabiswas @rubina203 এবং @pijushmitra দের।

যে যাই বলুকআমি মাছে ভাতে বাঙালি।
একজন খাঁটি বাঙালির আরো অনেক সংজ্ঞা থাকলেও
প্রতিযোগিতার বিষয়বস্তু কিন্তু সেটা প্রমাণ করছে, ঢেঁকি স্বর্গে গেলেও ধান ভানে।
আপনারা কি বলেন? বাঙালি কমিউনিটি, সাথে একদল বাঙালি যারা এখানে বসে আছেন?🙄
সে আপনারা যতই ইলিশ আর চিংড়ি নিয়ে মারামারি করুন না কেন!
ব্যাপার হলো, আমার কাছে সর্বকালের সেরা খাবার সেটাই, যেটা খেতে কখনোই অরুচি আসে না! আর তাই মাছ দিয়ে তৈরি রান্না আমার সর্বোচ্চ প্রিয়।

দেখুন সেই অন্নপ্রাশন এর পর থেকে এখনও পর্যন্ত মাছে আমার অরুচি নেই, কাজেই বাড়ি থেকে রেস্টুরেন্ট যেখানেই গেছি, একটা মাছের পদ না চেখে টেবিল ছেড়ে উঠিনি।
রেসিপি অনেক আছে, তবে ওই, সব কমিউনিটিতে সবসময় রেসিপি দিতে ইচ্ছে করে না!
বরঞ্চ আজকে নিজের রান্না করা কিছু ভিন্ন মাছের পদের ছবি দেখিয়ে বাঙালিদের লোভ দেখাতেই মূলত আমার এখানে আসা।
যদি এই সুবাদে কেউ আমার বাড়িতে পদধূলি দেন, তাহলে নিজে হাতে বাজার করে আপনার পছন্দের মাছ খাওয়াতে পারি। তৎসহ নিজ দায়িত্বে রেসিপি লিখে নিয়ে যেতে পারেন, কারণ তাতে কপিরাইট এখনও বসাইনি! কিন্তু দয়া করে আমার এখানের ছবিগুলো ঝেঁপে দেবেন না, এগুলো একান্তই আমার সৃষ্টি।

সর্ষে ইলিশ, চিংড়ি মাছের মালাইকারি, মৌরলা মাছের ঝাল, পাবদা মাছের ঝাল আরো অনেকেই এই তালিকাভুক্ত।
আর অনেক প্রিয় মাছের পদ আছে তবে ছবি নেই এই মুহূর্তে সেগুলোর, যারমধ্যে চিতল মাছের মুইঠা, চিতল মাছের পেটির ফুলকপি আলুর ঝোল, ইত্যাদি ইত্যাদি।

এরপর এই গরমে সকালে আম দুধ দিয়ে মুড়ি অথবা চিড়ে আর দুপুরের খাবার শেষ পাতে কাঁচা আমের টক, মানে সবমিলিয়ে একটা পূর্ণ বাঙালি পরিবেশ, সাথে একটু দই, মিষ্টি থাকলে অনুষ্ঠান বাড়ী!

কোনো দেশের মানুষের রুচিবোধের আশি শতাংশ আপনি চিনতে পারবেন সেখানের মানুষদের খাবারের ধরন দেখে। বাঙালি খাবার একবার ও খায় নি, এরকম মানুষ সমগ্র পৃথিবীতে বোধহয় হাতে গোনা আছেন! কারণ, এখন গোটা পৃথিবী জুড়ে বাঙালির অবস্থান। বাঙালি খাবারের বিশেষত্য আর অতিথি আপ্যায়নের ধরন এই দুটি কারণে, আমি উৎসাহিত করতে চাই এই বিশ্বের সকল মানুষকে;
