It is another brand-new day here. What we drink is usually very important as this determines what happens to us thereafter. The human body is one that water consists of a greater percentage therein, and this suggests the importance of fluid intake to the body. Thank you @shiftitamanna for drawing our attention to this topic.
✅ Is it common for people to drink tea and coffee in your country? |
---|
Drinking tea and coffee is one symbolic habit that has been developed during the morning in place for early morning breakfasts. Before now, drinking tea and coffee has not naturally been the mainstay of our feeding style as this is viewed as Western culture developed from their cold weather.
However, due to the proliferation of corporate jobs and operational exposure, the use of tea and coffee has gradually been observed as a replacement for most breakfast meals. This may connected to the ease of taking it, the quest by which it reduces the quest for food appetite, and as well the aesthetic or luxury that suits its consumption.
Most cooperating employees find this befitting for them to remain smart and lightweight to remain on their job every morning before lunchtime. In extension, we can also find our kids aligning and prefer drinking tea as breakfast before heading to school.
Such a fluid-like substance is easy to consume, especially in the early hours of the morning when compared to other meal combinations. In all of these, I do tea and coffee in the morning sparingly but not a habit.
✅ Did you prefer different drinks as a child? |
---|
As I narrated earlier, one of my kids makes tea every other morning. This happens.to be his preferred early-morning startup meal for the day. No other thing appeases him at that time other than tea. Whereas, in contrast, this has been my style of food. I prefer having my lumpsum meal in the morning for energy.
However, I already have a preference that I have developed as a habit over the years. Drinking a warm or room temperature glass of water was the first thing everyone had been my style. Maybe, that has been my preference as a child growing up because of the consciousness and affinity I see during indulgence.
✅ Do you think it is important to drink lots of water? |
---|
It does not take anything to know the importance of water to the body. It is very important to consume at least 3 liters of water daily for proper body function. Aside from the one glass of water I ingest first thing in the day, I consciously enrolled in a water therapy that allows me to drink at least a certain liter of water daily.
Our body system needs this, especially our digestive system, for proper food breakdown and digestion. This, in turn, helps in an easy flow or passage of feces without any form of difficulty.
Our kidney is also another vital organ responsible for most purification and removal of impurities. This requires a lot of water to carry out this daily process. Have we noticed each time we are dehydrated the color of our urine?
✅ What is a traditional drink in your country for celebrating? |
---|
Palm Wine is one native drink that is generally acceptable and symbolic of the traditional roots of my clan. It is a bye product obtained from the palm tree and could be taken in any form.
When consumed fresh, it is said to come with a lot of medical affiliations because of the high presence of yeast in it. We all know the importance of yeast, vitamin A origin, and its role in keeping a healthy sight.
It could also be consumed fermented but at this time, we see a massive use of it because of its alcoholic contents. Most beer parlous and sitouts are major patronizers and users of this tradtional drink.
Another prominent moment we see the use of this drink is during tradtional weddings. It is our culture that this drink has to be symbolic in its use. When a woman is asked to locate her husband, identify and bring him along to the parents for blessing during the traditional occasion, this drink is given to her in a cup. Whoever drinks from this cup at that moment automatically is her husband.
Palm wine is native drink that both serves traditional and cultural beliefs and well enriched in health vitamins. Also promotes social integration amongst drinkers.

Oh yes, it's true that tea and coffee is never our culture, taking these drinks are taken mostly by people in the corporate offices and those who may have lived outside Nigeria.
Our most celebrated drink is palm wine from time immemorial. According to those who have taken it, and as you've rightly stated, it has some health benefits.
But you see water? No one can deny taking it. Water in Nigerian parlance," e no get enemy." You have made the right choice. Unlike me who used to take chocolate beverages from morning till night before it became luxury. What people call tea and coffee, I am not a part of it, I'd rather drink water than waste my time with it.
I don't want to be crucified, "it's not part of my culture." 😄
Best wishes sir!
