SEC-S 10 W 5: My story of losing a precious thing

Assalam-o-Alaikum !السلام عليكم

First of all I welcome you all to my steemit blog. Many things have importance and utility in human life. Some things hold value because of their high value and some gifts are meant to remind a person for a lifetime. The most precious thing in my life that I hold very dear is my tasbih and this tasbih I bought almost twenty years ago today. I started and ended my education up to college and university with the same hymn. Once this tasbih was lost from me and when this tasbih was lost from me it seemed like nothing was left in my world. I am very much thank full to Steem For Bangladesh community team that gave me opportunity to write about on this topic.

Some things in life become precious with the passage of time and then the fear of losing them also increases. I bought a tasbih twenty years ago and used to read it daily. The rosary was made of wood. When I bought that tasbih, I put it with strong threads, each bead in a strong cord so that the thread is strong and always the beads of the tasbih remain in the thread. Gradually, I started to find tasbih more dear than myself and when my friend or a relative went to perform Umrah, I would tell him to take this tasbih with him and remember Allah whenever doing zikr in Madinah or in Makkah. And bring this Tasbih Baitullah by touch.

My Tasbeeh has gone to Medina twice. But one day it happened that I could not find that tasbeeh. I searched every corner of the house but I could not find the tasbeeh. I felt as if my world had ended.

_{What emotions did you experience upon losing the item?}

After losing Tasbih, I couldn't even sleep and felt like a part of my being was lost or separated from me. Because I always kept the tasbih in my pocket and at night I used to put the tasbih under the pillow while sleeping. I used to mention Allah on this tasbih five times during the prayer. Summary I was deeply troubled both mentally and spiritually by the loss of this glorification which I cannot express in words.

_{Did you do anything to find it?What was the result?}

I tried my best to find Tasbeeh but all my efforts during that time failed. On the day I lost the Tasbeeh, I went to all the cities, went to friends or prayed in the mosque. Importantly, I made an announcement on the loudspeaker at two places in the mosques to search for this tasbih and also said a reward that I will give a reward to whoever would help to finds it. The season of winter was ending when it was lost to me.

But three months later I got that glorification in a dramatic way. When my mother opened my folding bed, which she put away because of the end of winter, one day to wash it, my tasbih was lying in that folding bed. We didn't understand how this happened as we checked the bed too but then we started blaming ourselves that maybe we didn't check the bed properly during checking. But my joy was boundless when I got the Tasbih.

_{What steps do you follow to avoid losing such precious items in the future?}

After this incident, I keep my Tasbih in a special place every day and whenever I need Tasbih, I pick it up and recite it. Now I don't keep Tasbih in my pocket all the time because I don't want my Tasbih to be fall any where during the traveling or Fall out from my pocket and get lost. We have to protect all our valuables ourselves so that we can avoid mental and spiritual pain after losing them.
