SEC-S15W2: ''My School Life"

My favourite subject was physics, this is because it was pretty straight forward unlike other subjects. Once you knew the right formula you are good to go. But before physics in my high school my favourite subject was agricultural science, because of how much I loved this subject I was determined to become a farmer and grow food and cash crops for export. The dream is not dead but it is difficult to accomplish now because of the economy of Nigeria and other financial factors. Nevertheless, I haven't given up on it.

Oh my friend were plenty, one of them is @japinho001, we were childhood friends from high school to the university. He was more like a brother and that is the reason we are still very close till today. His family knows me and my family knows him too well. We are like brothers from different mothers. I believe our friendship will grow beyond this stage to old age.

I also have other friends I snapped with whom we are no longer in much contact with. This was due to distance and change of circle amongst other things but I appreciate them for the time they were with me and for all the good that came with them.

I had a favourite teacher whose name was Mr Ubong, he was the English teacher for our class. He was very strict and many students were afraid of him but I was not. This was because I was a good student and performed very well in his class. I could enter his office to see him which no one else tried to do. Before long he appointed me as the course rep for his course and this was because of my performance. Most of my friends came to me when they had issues and needed to see him so I would take their matter to him.

The memorable day of my school life was when I did my Matriculation into the university, I wore the gown and went to join other freshmen as we stood under the hot sun and received orientation from the school body. After the orientation there was a lot of eating and drinking and snapping of pictures with friends and family.
My parents were happy for me and I was happy for myself.

We never had a school picnic but we had an excursion once which I attended. It was fun as I went to our state broadcasting Corporation office. Other times I did sit out and have fun with my school friends.

The saddest day of my school life was when I was hit with the news of the passing away of my uncle who was also my sponsor. I was so devastated. I didn't want to believe it. Even when I attended his burial I secretly prayed for a miracle, that like Lazarus he would rise from the death and come back to us again. But that never happened. I pray that may his soul continue to rest in peace Amen.
