The Pandemic has still been going on.And Ive been dealing with fiction and medical books so to loosen up a bit.I wanted to watch the movie of The Silence of the Lambs as it is included in the best movies of all time and I've seen a lot of videos about it. But I wanted to read the book first before watching the movie itself so I know all the essence of the elements in the movie and of course the untainted perspective of the book before hitting the cinema. But according to the articles I've read online that there is another book before it. So I grabbed that one too and read it first.
This is the short sysnopsis of the whole book according to goodreads :A second family has been massacred by the terrifying serial killer the press has christened "The Tooth Fairy." Special Agent Jack Crawford turns to the one man who can help restart a failed investigation: Will Graham. Graham is the greatest profiler the FBI ever had, but the physical and mental scars of capturing Hannibal Lecter have caused Graham to go into early retirement. Now, Graham must turn to Lecter for help.
So my take on this is how insensitive and sometimes immature adults can be.They decide on things without even thinking of the consequences and if they are able to handle those consequences if they did decide to do it. This is the reason why and how sociopaths were made. They were made by the people around them. Plus the journalist's revengeful and self-victimizing way of thinking caused his own death.Plus love in its sincere form. Its basically a crook world because of us.
For "The Silence of the Lambs" its more about how women was treated in a polarized field of the opposite sex and how our intentions might be taken as another way and yet we cant do anything but cry or lament it and still go on with the things that we can do in the situation. Its truly the reason why Hannibal showed him the hints.
Sorry But I dont want to discuss the big picture of how the whole thing happened cause that will be the reader's own job but i like to highlight the small stuff that people tend to take fort granted. For me that is the hidden gems of books.I like the Red Dragon better than The Silence of the Lambs. The insights are more clear. The background on how things took placed are detailed. The inner workings of the suspect is revealed by its history and the sequelae of events.
Ps for the date here is inaccurate cause I was a bit of juggler when it comes to reading and I do it in a slow pace.Whenever I like something from the book, I write it down and reflect on it for a long time. But Im done with these two books now, thats all thank you.
