My favorite plant is Caesalpinia pulcherrima (scientific name) . It belongs to a species of flowering plant known as the pea family. it’s popularly known as “pride of barbados” . It has a lot of other names such as; peacock flower, red bird of paradise,flamboyant de-jardin among others.I learnt it’s exact origin is unknown due to widespread cultivation.
I took these pictures at a friends house when I visited. I love it’s color and smell. It gives a soothing sensation to my eyes.
