Today I come to participate in the beautiful contest created by @knopka145, This is my 3rd post on this contest. I will share with you about the Litchi plant.

Litchi is a delicious fruit.I like to eat litchi a lot.Everyone in my family likes to eat litchi.Litchi contains a lot of vitamins and minerals.Litchi enhances the body's resistance to disease.Playing litchi has many benefits for the human body.About 90% of people in Bangladesh like to eat litchi.Bangladesh produces 4440 per year..

🍒What is Lychee🍒

Lychee, also known as ‘Litchi’ or ‘Lichi’, is an evergreen tree of the soapberry family. This tree is known for its edible fruits, which are native to Southeast Asia, and have been a favorite of the Cantonese since ancient times. Lychee fruit is usually eaten fresh and its pulp is aromatic and musky in flavor. When dried, the same pulp tastes acidic and very sweet

🏥Health benefits of Lychee🍒

Some health of litchi.

  1. Lychee contains good amount of Vitamin C, Vitamin B-complex and phytonutrient flavonoids.
  2. It is a rich source of nutrient that is required for the production of blood. It provides manganese, magnesium, copper, iron and folate that are required for the formation of RBC.
  3. Lychee contains good amount of fiber and Vitamin B-complex which increase metabolism fat, protein and carbohydrate.
  4. It contains high amount of antioxidants which is effective to prevent early ageing.
  5. Lychee contains a good amount of potassium, which is required to maintain sodium level.
  6. It helps to maintain blood pressure and it reduces the risk of stroke and heart attack. Also it contains minerals like manganese, magnesium, iron, copper and folate that maintain blood pressure.
  7. Lychee contains high amount of dietary fiber which proves best nutrient that promote cardiovascular health.

🍒History of Lychee🍒


The cultivation of Lychee began in southern China in 1059 AD, Malaysia, and northern Vietnam. The fruit was used as a delicacy in the Chinese Imperial Court. In the 1st century during the Han dynasty, fresh lychees were a popular tribute item. It attracted attention of European travelers, such as Juan González de Mendoza. Later, lychee was described and introduced to the West in 1656 by Michal Boym, a Polish Jesuit missionary.In India, lychee was introduced in the 18th century through Burma, and from there, it spread to many countries. At present, India and China account for 91 percent of the world lychee production but it is mainly marketed locally.

🍒Lychee Some interesting recipes🍲

  1. Lychee and watermelon slush:- In a mixer jar, put 4 cups of frozen watermelon cubes, 2 cups of frozen lychee juice, 3 tbsp. rose syrup and 2 tbsp. lemon juice. Grind them together and pour into serving glasses.

  2. Lychee and lime sorbet:- Boil some lychee mixed with sugar to make a syrup. Cool it down and blend with lime juice to make sorbet. This frozen delight is a great summer dessert, and is very easy to prepare.

  4. Thai prawn and lychee salad:- For the dressing, bash some green chilli using a pestle and mortar. Add some red chilli powder, brown sugar, lemon juice and fish sauce and mix them together. Combine some prawns, mint, coriander, lychees, beansprouts and peanuts with the dressing, and toss well. Transfer to a plate and scatter with some more peanuts and garlic chips/crispy onions.

  5. Lychee and lemon ball drink:- Combine 1/2 cup of lychee crush, 1/4 cup muskmelon balls, 1 tbsp. strawberry crush, 1 tbsp. lemon juice, 3 cups soda and 10 ice cubes together. Pour the mixture into glasses and garnish with mint leaves.

We produce litchi on 4 to 5 bighas of land every year.We live with litchi to all our neighbors.We make a lot of money selling litchi.By selling this litchi, our family can live happily and peacefully.We have to work hard to produce this litchi.I have made a list of some of the benefits of litchi.
