I love this fruit so much...One of my favorite actually!

Cherimoya is known on different names in different countries, like Custard Apple or Zat in my country! They are very much present in Latin America's countries...

How do you call this fruit in your region!?

Only some days back the trees that are found at my brother in law's back yard were blooming and now we already have so many fruits growing! Amazing work of nature indeed!

It will be a nice season...

What is great to see on the trees is that the fruits are of different 'age'!!! Meaning they won't get ready for harvest together...we will have a long season of cherimoya soon!

Normally the trees we have will be giving us like 5-8 ready fruits each 5 days...

Best enjoyed when fully ripen and chilled!

Cherimoya's inside is super soft and must be handled with care...if you press too much they'll crush easily!

Usually here, they are picked when still 'hard' and let to ripe for couple of days at home - Like Avocados!

Once they are ripe, I love to put them in the chiller for 2 hours or so, then enjoy them well chilled!

The above cherimoya will be among the first ones to be ready for pick up...I am monitoring its progress nearly on a daily basis...

I would like to know from you all if you have any recipe that I can try with Cherimoya (dessert) - a recipe from your country, something yummy and classic.

Let me know in the comments section below!

Ps. Once I have the first one ready, I'll make another post on cherimoya!

Thank you so much for reading and enjoying my post!
Have a wonderful day/evening ahead!

What does it taste like? I didn't even know this was a thing... mind blown.

Maybe it would help if you described the taste. Perhaps it could help with recipe ideas.

Right now I'm thinking custard apple pie... What do you think? I'm curious to know if you can pull it off.

We call it ATIS. My dad used to have a couple of this tree in his backyard.
