Hello Steemians,
having read all the instructions given by @ Cryptokannon, I am privileged to present my achievement 3 which centers on Plagiarism.source
Plagiarism in a simple term is the use of other people"s brain work be it ideas, images or videos without giving credit to the owner., while parading such knowledge as if it originates from him or her.
From the Oxford Dictionary,it defines plagiarism as " The action practice of taking someone's else's work, idea, e.t.c. and passing it off as one's own: Literary Theft"
The following are some forms of plagiarism :
Complete Plagiarism: submit another author's work in your own name.
Source based Plagiarism : Reference and incorrect or non- existence source.
Direct plagiarism : Copy text from another document word by word.
Self or author plagiarism : Reuse a major part ofyour own work without attribution .
Mosaic Plagiarism : interlay. someone's else"s phrases or text within your work.

Plagiarism , in its entirety is wrong, no matter what any one might have as his or her reason for such dishonest conduct, claiming what he is not.
There are sad consequences for plagiarism such as payment of fine or going to jail depending on the country of the offender . Note that plagiarism is a serious offense. It is against the Copyright law.
Not giving credit to people"s original work is a sign of pride and lack of respect for others.
Plagiarism can be avoided by :
(1) citing your work for reference purposes.
(2) Add the link for images or videos that is as close as possible to the link.
Quotation marks is very important. When quoting word by word, add quotation marks around the text to show that the words are not yours.
A big thank you to the steemit community especially to Cryptokannon and the curators for creating this achievement.
