In this post we will be discussing on Content Etiquette

What does Etiquette mean?

Etiquette is defined as set of rules or customs that control accepted behaviour in particular social groups or social situations
So we can rightly conclude that content etiquette refers to the rules that needs to be observed inorder to make an acceptable article or content

Some of these rules include

• Avoid plagiarism
• Non-usage of copyright images
• Appropriate citation of a person's work

Now lets us discuss extensively on plagiarism
Since it's has been identified as one of the major rules of content etiquette.

Plagiarism is the act of deliberately or mistakenly presenting a person's intellectual property as yours.
And this is done by not acknowledging the owner of the work/idea or using their work with or without their consent

Generally, people often mistake plagiarism for piracy, below is a distinction between them.

What give rise to plagiarism?

• Procrastination
• Fear of failure
• Laziness
• No rigid punishment for trespassers

• Good rewards for plagiarism-free content
• Implementation of punishment for offender
• Public enlightenment
  In avoiding plagiarism, a user has to cite another's person's idea properly and this is illustrated below

Piracy refers to the unauthorized duplication of copyrighted content that is then sold at substantially lower prices in the 'grey' market. The ease of access to technology has meant that over the years, piracy has become more rampant. For example, CD writers are available off the shelf at very low prices, making music piracy a simple affair.
