CONTENT ETIQUETTE
WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?
Plagiarism is the exact duplication of a written piece by someone who is not the content writer for his/her own self-benefit or interest (for fame, money or advertisment etc) without the knowledge of the actual content writer.
Every steem user needs to be aware of the dangers and consequences of plagiarism for it showcases a negative image of this platform to the world and the steem authorities created no room for such activity for every steem who indulges in such an activity (plagiarism) will be left in a state of inactivity.
CAUSES OF PLAGIARISM
Causes of plagiarism are so numerous to mention but I will outline just 3 causes as follows;
1.UNRESTRICTED ACCESSION OF CONTENTS: The ease at which Aids are gotten for any research work via the internet encourages plagiarism.
2.CREATIVITY UNSKILLFULNESS AND LAZINESS: The social media has made some persons grow so lazy creativityly their by causing creativity unskillfulness and laziness.
3.LANGUAGE HINDRANCE: For anyone to become a good content creator, he/she
must attain fluency and efficiency in his/her language in use, else it will cause inability to express oneself and plagiarism becomes the next option.
HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
INITIATE YOUR OWN CONTENTS: An adage says "practice makes perfect" - a continuous practice attracts mastery. Create time for research approaches, study and understand the subject matter you are writing on.
While making reference to another creator's work, avoid exact duplication of individual words. Understand the content before writing in your words.
When making reference to another creator's works, use quotation marks and give the right credit to the author.
Plagiarism checkers like 'Dupli checker' will help been plagiarized.
CONCLUSION
In summary, endeavor to acknowledge people's works while using them, develop your own ideas, get the right knowledge and understand the subject matter of the content you are writing on.
Newton first law of motion states that a body in motion moving in a straight line or angular motion or a body at rest will continue to be in linear or angular motion or at rest unless it is interrupted by an external force.
