Salam

Hope you are all doing well. Today I'm going to share my Achievement 3 on Content Etiquettes.

Content Etiquette:

This includes generating quality content for the readers that adds value, educates them and ultimately empowers them. If you are generating your own content then well and good, but if you are taking over others content then there are basic rules for doing it.Asking them directly to let you use their content, mentioning their name properly or adding citations and reference in your content is obligatory. Otherwise you act comes under the practice of plagarism.

Plagarism:

This word sounds very fancy but retains a very harsh reality about moral values. It simply defines as copy-pasting others work that could include pictures, writing, codes and other technical assets without their consent to demonstrate the world that it belongs to you.

History

A Roman poet Martial introduce/initiated/pioneered a Latin word in the 1st century "plagiarius" meaning "Kidnapper".He claimed that some other poet had kidnapped / hijacked his versus.

What Plagarism Perceives?

Plagarist who steals the intellectual assets of other performs Intellect Heist. They don't bother to work and bring some unique content or believe in themselves to present their own ideas whether doing it purposefully or accidentally it degrades their moral values in front of the society.

Plagarism are of two kinds:

1.Planned/Designed/Intentional Plagarism:

It is a kind where a person knows that he is stealing others intellectual assets without mentioning citations, references or author's name with pure intention of doing it.

2.Unplanned/Undesigned/Unintentional Plagarism:

It is a kind when a person copies the content of others but when it comes to mention the author or reference they create a mess. They are simply misinformed about the proper ways to give the credit and commit plagarism due to their illiteracy.

Types of Planned Plagarism

a)Patchwork/Mosaic/stitched Plagarism:

Suppose you are creating your content then you get a fancy quote or sentence from somewhere under their copyright, you copy it and paste it in your content in such a manner that it completely indulges , besides you do not bother to use the quotation marks or citations. It is given the name patchwork because you completely mix up your work and the stolen one by stitching both of them.

b) Paraphrasing Plagarism:

It is the type when the synonyms are used to alter the stolen content or the whole sentence is paraphrased without using citations. But the meaning of the sentence remains the same.

c) Self Plagarism:

If someone created an integrated and important article on a subject in the past, now they are using their past content in their new content, though the copyright of the previous work belongs to someone alse now.It is like stealing your own work without mentioning it as your previous work, done by students ,teachers and writers is unethical and leads to academic critisim and elimination from the position.

d)Deliberate/Global/Complete Plagarism:

When you steal someone's content without paraphrasing, giving credit to author ,adding citations and references , and submitting it on your own name. This kind is common in online content writing, blogging and posting articles.
