What plagiarism is all about
Due to the intent of this task, the definition I will use is that which I have understood and not that taken from a source directly as I will love to walk in the steps of complete non-plagiarized content steps. Plagiarism therefore is the process of copying someone's content behind the back of that person, or without indicating the origin of the source in cases that it matters.
Types of Plagiarism
Image source
This refers to copying and pasting of material originally written by oneself. Primitive in situations where one lazily decides to paste already had material especially when seeking for validation.

This is deliberately copying somebody's content without asking them and in some extreme cases showing their link.

Here, the culprit intentionally copy's the content of another but fails to provide an indicating link for the write-up from which it originated.

The culprit does not put the reproduced material in quotes; this indicates that it is a borrowed material, or he fails to prove that the work has been borrowed through another means.
Disadvantages of Plagiarism
- It results to the reduction of personal esteem by the culprit as he feels he is unable to breed content on his own.
- It can lead to a reduction in reputation as when found, fellow steemians will not find trustworthy the account of the defaulter.
- In very serious cases, the culprit can be put in jail and laid a hefty fine as this is a practice that ought be avoided at all costs and at any given time.
Since we are of all sane minds, I will very much advise we all to stick to inventing material on our own as this platform is a very much resourceful one, it is thus needless to engage in this practice.
Other Etiquettes to Consider on #Steemit
Plagiarism is not the only other etiquette of which we are to observe, a few are;
- Begging for votes: We should never do this either freely or by means of bribery. This offense is grave and the consequences deadly.
- Over Posting: Except the content is of enormous interest, authors should avoid constant posting of material as it tends to bore other steemit users.
- Upvoting and Commenting on other posts: It is important not only for us but for other authors to congratulate or criticize the content we come across. This leads to interaction and of course further education for us.
Adding a citation
It always seems impossible until it is done.
