I know many of you here especially the newbies are already tired of writing without getting upvotes from any angle, well today I have come to explain something's to you and why you should be patient.

Steemit has a policy and ways they operate, they don't just go round and upvote all kind of posts to make everyone happy, you should understand that this platform pays you to write so try and write something amazing and unique, many people only write diaries and nothing else and expect to get upvoted regularly.

The system has changed and we have a lot of niches to write under, so I'll advise you start writing something different and write responsibly.

1. WRITING IN THE WRONG COMMUNITY

Many steemians make the mistake of writing in the wrong community, there are over 100+ communities here on steemit and each community is a niche except those communities that are representing a region or a particular group that is meant for a particular set of people.

Your diary post are mainly meant to be posted under your country community not in the steem crypto academy or photography community.

If you have any post concerning photography or painting you can channel them to the World of Xpillar or other photography community, same thing goes for stories or any other niche you want to write about.

2. ALWAYS TRY TO USE A BREAKER WHEN NEEDED

Am sure many of you don't know what a breaker is, well I will explain it clearly for you to understand.

This is a breaker, it is used to make sure you post looks mature and clean.

The above breaker is a customized breaker for the @steemalive community and it is meant to be used by steemalive members as it is a customized breaker, but everyone can own a breaker.

When writing a very long content it is advisable to use a breaker as it helps to detail your post and give reader a clean piece to read.

3. ALWAYS TRY TO DETAIL YOUR POST WITH IMAGES AND SOURCE THEM

Another thing that some steemians fail to understand is detailing, it is very good to detail posts with images, people often read posts with images more than posts without and when it comes to curation make sure your images have source.

If you follow the post through you'll notice that all the images have their sources, this shows that you respect the creator of this image and didn't steal it.

CONCLUSION

Always try to comment on other people's post, like and repost if necessary, it helps you to get recognized and might bring something you aren't expecting to you.
