Steemit is a platform that rewards its users with liquid tokens ,steems ,SBD for creating a good content.It is very important to understand that are specific keys which enables you to protect this rewards as well as protect your entire account with its content.
A better understanding about the usefulness of this keys helps you to execute commands and actions on steemit with ease.

There are five basic keys in steemit platform they are

• the posting keys

• the active key

• the memo key

• the owner key

• the master password
  

  
  The posting is one of the keys you will find yourself using most times because most actions such as your logging in is done using the posting key .The posting key is also used for performing actions such as editing of comment by you,commentingon other users account ,voting of posts ,resteeming of posts ,it is used perform actions as muting of other accounts .
  
  The active key is used for only wallet related activities. During transfer of funds from your account to another user account ,your active key is needed to execute this command or action. The active key is also needed for actions sch as power up/down of your steem. it is also used to update your profile details and avatar.The active key is used in voting of witnesses,conversion of steem to steem dollars.
  
  The memo key is used for encryption and decryption of memo s when transfering funds between users account. This is done by putting pound /# sign before the memo.
  
  The owner key happened to be the most important key because of its usefulness in recovering a compromised account.it is also used to effect change on all other keys.An offline storage of this account is strongly encouraged.
  
  The master password is used to generate all other keys on steemit .it is the first password you come across upon sign up of steemit .

If you noticed there is basically nothing you can do in steemit if you do not have a good knowledge about these keys .So i have studied and i know HOW TO TRANSFER FUNDS FROM ONE ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER.I have equally stored my keys in an offline storage,i used my flash drive and i also wrote them down where i alone have access to.

Lets say you want to transfer fund from one account to another ; here are the few steps

• click on your wallet

• click on transfer

• fill in the required details then execute request.

Now let's say I want to power up my steem -

• click on wallet

• click on power up

• fill in the necessary details - the amount of steem you want to use and power up, then execute.
