In this achievement, we will be learning about plagiarism, which is strictly prohibited. Additionally, we will also learn about the importance of citation when using someone else's words.
What is Plagiarism
Plagiarism is an act of using someone else's work, ideas, or words without providing the source of the idea, work, or words. We can use citations to indicate that this work is not mine.
Types of Plagiarism:
Plagiarism is in various forms, such as:
Complete Plagiarism:
This is a type of plagiarism in which someone copy the whole blog of someone else and represent and trying to show and say that it's my own work.
Example: You go to someone's blog and just copy and completely and past it in your new blog and showing that it's my own blog, it's prohibited.
Direct Plagiarism:
Direct plagiarism is a type of plagiarism in which someone stole a little amount of words from someone else work and don't even provide the source and don't even use citation.
Example:
For example, you saw 2 line about some thing and you are writing about the same thing and you copied those 2 lines and didn't motioned the source, such plagiarism called direct plagiarism.
Paraphrasing plagiarism:
Paraphrasing plagiarism is a type of plagiarism in which user write the same thing but with different style, like changing of some words in it.
Example:
In this type of plagiarism peoples just change the words but the meaning is exactly same, like: Someone used "Hey"
You copied his work and used "hi".
Self Plagiarism:
Self plagiarism is a type of plagiarism which is very common in blogs and article, where user use his same work again, we can use citation in this situation.
Example:
This type of plagiarism is very common these days, in this type of plagiarism people's use their own work again without using citation, it could be a great choice if we indicate the source.
Accidental Plagiarism:
Accidental plagiarism is when someone unintentionally use someone else's work without proper use of citation also, Forgetting to note down the source of information.
Example:
Let's think that you were writing a blog and you thought that you would provide the link of the photo in the end of the blog means when you finish then blog than you will provide the link and than you forget, that's called accidental plagiarism.
Ways To Avoid Plagiarism:
There are various effective ways to avoid plagiarism:

Avoid copying other's work
You have to avoid copying other's work or word to avoid plagiarism, utilize your time and try to write your own words and blog. Use your own mind.
Citation:
Citation is the best thing to use while providing the source of the thing you have written in your blog.
Example of citation:
