ABOUT MYSELF

Hi, my name is Edward Udeh Egwoyi. I am a Nigerian. I was born 22/09/1995 in Maiduguri Northeast Nigeria. I am the fourth child and the second son in a family of 5 males and two females. I was born in Maiduguri, but I grew up in Yola town due to the nature of my dad's job that involved transfers to different places. I attended St Timothy's Nursery and Primary school Maiduguri, St Peter's primary school Gombe, St Mary's Nursery, Primary and Junior secondary school Yola, GDSS Shagari Yola, and then studied Forestry and Wildlife Management at Federal University Wukari, Taraba state. Growing up in Yola town was a mixture of fun and diverse experience. My parents were very strict in enforcing discipline amongst us. We weren't so rich, but our parents ensured that our basic needs were met. We didn't receive the best of education as kids, but our parents also ensured that we were exposed to quality education. The various schools I attended over the years coupled with the strict moral principles of my parents contributed in no small measure towards making me a man of principles.

Education
I have little memories of St Timothy's because I spent the earliest study years of my life over there, but I have tangible memories of the others. St Mary's Nursery, Primary and Secondary School was a major factor that really molded me into a very responsible person. St Mary's is indeed a place you can trust with your kids(just in case you find yourself in Yola). The school is run by St Mary's Catholic Church Yola, but it has been handed over to the Catholic Diocese of Yola. GDSS Shagari is a government run secondary school located in Yola South. The low cost of its school fees makes it a first choice for most of the residents in the Shagari neighborhood of Yola. But the quality of its educational services still needs thorough improvement. Federal University Wukari, Taraba state is also an educational institution I don't ever regret attending. It was established in 2011 by the then Goodluck Jonathan administration to address the challenges of youth access to tertiary education. I joined the institution in November 2015, and then graduated in June 2021. I was brought up as a Roman Catholic Christian.

Hobbies, Likes and Dislikes
My favorite hobbies include reading, web surfing, watching football games, singing and playing my bass guitar. I am a super committed and talented bassist with versatile playing experience in every music genre. I like honesty, and forthrightness but dislike lies, pretence, and hypocrisy.

Knowledge of Cryptocurrency
My knowledge of cryptocurrency is low but I recently picked interest in it owing to the fact that crypto trade has been making headlines recently.

How I was introduced to STEEMIT
I was introduced to this platform through a seminar organized by @simonnwigwe, a fellow student and colleague in Federal University Wukari.

Areas of Interests
My areas of interests are basically science, environment, wildlife, education, politics, and history. My write ups will be revolve around these fields of knowledge. It's really great to be a part of this ambitious community of purpose driven and talented individuals. I look forward to having great exploit here. Thank you for your time.
