Diablo II had finally been released and I was playing with my friends. We wanted to get real serious and make a website for our guild. And I of course thought "I know how to draw, I will make us the coolest website." I just need to learn how to "code" (keep in mind "Hackers (1995)" was my absolute favourite movie at this time so being able to code... I can't even. I still get the same feeling to this day sitting in the dark, in front of a bright computer screen with headphones on and music turned way up - feeling like such a bad ass --> inner monologue "squiggle, a hreeef, equal, thinger, link, thinger, squiggle...text...)
When I say code...I learned html
I don't know if you're familiar with the amazingness of the 90s websites?

A 90s website wasn't complete without a "Under construction" dancing across it. The same was true for mine. Sadly the guild split before the website was done. But it didn't matter. I was hooked!! I love that I get to brush off my "hacker skills" when I write these posts - makes it more fun!
