    PLAGIARISM

You will all be wondering what i mean by that :Plagiarism can simply be defines as presenting somebody’s else piece of work (ideas, book ,songs among others ) without full notice or acknowledgement of the person or owner .These piece of work could either be in form of published or unpublished, material or manuscript, printed or softcopies ,they are all termed as plagiarism.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
We can talk about four different kinds of plagiarism ,with their meanings and how they are considered as plagiarism in our daily activities.

 DIRECT PLAGIARISM
 MOSAIC PLAGIARISM
 SELF PLAGIARISM
 ACCIDENTAL PLAGIASM

DIRECT PLAGIARISM
These type of plagiarism is the most harmful one .Thus when you copy and paste from a source without listing or citing where you got that information from , it’s against plagiarism .These can be termed as a duplicate content and the owner of the main piece of work can take disciplinary action against you.
EXAMPLE ; When you do a direct lifting from a book or someone’s work it’s rightful page ,paragraph or where that work could easily be traced or acknowledging the owner of what you have done .

MOSAIC PLAGIARISM
In this case plagiarism is considered as unlimited .These is because , Here you have listed the source of your piece of work but have not or uncorrectly placed quotation marks where they are supposed to be ,Hence termed as plagiarism.
Referring to other sources enrich our writing ability but since there is plagiarism we have to know how it is done for us not to plagirising someone’s else work.

SELF PLAGIARISM
These is very common and are highly found in our academic day lives where students can copy and paste assignment which will be submitted to the teachers .
Since this is not really serious because legal actions are not really concern but destroys the students performance in academics .

ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM
These form of plagiarism can also take the form of mosaic plagiarism where a small part of someone’s work could be used for yours without you citing or placing quotation marks or wrong sourcing of where you got the information from ,that could also be considered as plagiarism .
For incorrect mentioning of the rightful owner of the work , actions could be taken against you.

TIPS FOR AVIODING PLAGIARISM

 Develop your own style of ideas .
 Use quotation marks rightfully just to avoid plagiarism
 Just don’t copy and paste someone’s else work but mention the rightful source of the main idea to aid in references .
