Situasi pandemik COVID telah menghentikan banyak peristiwa sosial. Antaranya ialah "Pet Fiesta" tahunan, di mana beribu-ribu pencinta haiwan peliharaan dari seluruh Malaysia; terutamanya dari negeri Selangor dan Kuala Lumpur, berkumpul di satu lokasi untuk berkongsi penghargaan kami terhadap haiwan-haiwan perliharaan.

Di Malaysia, hanya beberapa tempat yang membenarkan haiwan peliharaan berkeliaran atau berjalan dengan bebas tanpa ditangkap atau dimarah oleh ramai-ramaian. Pet Fiesta adalah salah satu antara dua acara utama yang diadakan di Malaysia yang membolehkan haiwan peliharaan bersama-sama dan menikmati hari dan momen dengan rakan manusia mereka, secara sah kerana di Malaysia, kebanyakan taman-taman dan tempat adalah dilarang atau tidak membenarkan haiwan peliharaan. Jikalau ditangkap bersama haiwan peliharaan anda di tempat larangan, ia adalah perbuatan yang menyalahi undang-undang dan bolen didenda atau disaman.

Ini adalah masalah besar bagi kami dan selalu membuatkan orang ramai pening. Oleh demikian, pemilik-pemilik haiwan peliharaan dan pencinta haiwan, megambil peluang pada hari ini sempena sambutan "Pet Fiesta" untuk berkumpul beramai-ramai bersama haiwan peliharaan kami. Pada masa inilah yang kami dibenarkan buat sedemikian tanpa melanggari peraturan dan undang-undang di Malaysia.

Who can attend Pet Fiesta?

Pet Fiesta is an event that is open to the public. Even if you are not a pet owner, you can simply head over to pat a pet or even get swooned by adorable pets from the shelters that are looking for a forever home; and voila! you are officially a pet owner😅😂 #adoptdontshop

Pet shelters will take this opportunity to showcase the animals in need of adoption. This is a great opportunity for us to help another living being and get supplies on the spot (in case, you decided to bring home a companion), socialize with the like-minded, enjoy good food (both humans and animals), etc. all under one roof!🎉🎉

Why attend Pet Fiesta?

Aside from the aforementioned adoption drive from various animal shelters at one location, during the annual Pet Fiesta, various and numerous treats, toys, grooming equipment, bedding, consumables i.e. vitamins/supplements, food, pastry, etc. and all pet-related products and services offer promotions and discounts all under one roof. Many visitors took this opportunity to grab a once a year offer and/or special deals. We did too! woot woot!✌🏽

There were two sections, indoor (exhibition area with booths by various vendors) and outdoor(a few tents were set up for all breeds to socialize and chill, notably for the larger breeds due to the ample space, in comparison with the indoor area). Various dog breed communities i.e. the Malaysia Golden Retriever Group, Malaysia Maltese Group, Malaysia Husky Group, etc. will also take this opportunity to gather during this event, where our furkids can socialize. Pets are only allowed indoors if they are in carriers or strollers. Hence, we got Suki the largest trolley we could rent and went in quickly to grab her goodies.
