Plagiarism is a name that has gained ground in our society due to some common mistake we make intentionally and unintentionally.
Now, what's this plagiarism?
Plagiarism can be seen as act of copying someone's idea without proper reference, citation or source.
This act of Plagiarism is wrong and should be abolished by putting reference whenever we use someone's work.

KINDS OF PLAGIARISM

There are different types of plagiarism that's gaining ground in our society now. Few of the relevant ones will be discussed below.

SELF PLAGIARISM

A work is said to be self plagiarized when an author's previous content appears in his recent work without source.
This is to say that self plagiarism happens only when one's personal work is copied.

COMPLETE PLAGIARISM

A work is said to be completely plagiarized when an author or individual copies and pastes someone's work or idea without reference. complete plagiarism is very common among school students who are too lazy to do research. They just copy and paste someone's work without reference when doing an assignment or any school work.

ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM

Accidental plagiarism is one that happens by mistake. In accidental plagiarism, the author has no idea that what he's copying belongs to someone else, so to avoid accidental plagiarism, all works should be checked before posting.

PARAPHRASING PLAGIARISM

A work is said to be paraphrased when someone changes some words in someone's work just because he or she is to lazy to source or reference the work.
Note: A work is considered paraphrased only when the changed word and the original one passes thesame meaning.

DIRECT PLAGIARISM

This can be seen as the word to word stealing of someone's content without reference. In a situation were an author steals the work of other authors and join them to form his own work without referencing it, it's then called direct plagiarism.

CITATION

Citation is a remedy for avoiding Plagiarism. Citation means referencing or sourcing a copied work. I'm steemit, all copied works should be well referenced to avoid plagiarism. Below is an example of citation.

Plagiarism is presenting someone else’s work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement. All published and unpublished material, whether in manuscript, printed or electronic form, is covered under this definition. Plagiarism may be intentional or reckless, or unintentional. Under the regulations for examinations, intentional or reckless plagiarism is a disciplinary offence.

STEEMIT AND PLAGIARISM

As steemians, we all have idea on what steemit is, and now, I've explained plagiarism.
Steemit doesn't entertain plagiarism so, all copied work and idea should be properly sourced or cited.
