Good day all, today I will be presenting my achievement 2 task today here in this awesome platform. Am very thankful to @ngoenyi for verifying my achievement 1 post.

Question 1: Have you retrieved all your keys from steemit?

Yes, I retrieved all my steemit keys few days ago, I did this while signing up into this awesome platform and I was happy to see my own keys with ease.

As steemains we all must have an idea about these keys to enable us create room for more individuals with same opportunity to get full access to this platform, so let’s get down to business by explaining the keys and their various functions and restrictions.

We have five different kinds of steemit keys which I will be explaining them in this article;

Memo Key.

Active key.

Posting key.

Owner key.

Master key.

Please I will be explaining them randomly

Question 2: Do you know each of these keys functions and restrictions?

Yes, I have knowledge of the key’s functions and restrictions. In the past few days, I have spent my time getting full details about the keys and their functions and restrictions, at a glance I came in contact with a friend who guided me through some of the functions of these keys in my wallet and in other steemians achievement 2 post to increase my knowledge about them.

Let’s look at the First Key:

Posting Key

The posting key is the key that enables the user’s comment, vote, post and share other people's post (ideas) in the platform (steemit). We can't use the master key and the other keys except from the posting key, to login when we want to engage in the social networking activities in this platform (steemit).

Let’s take a look at the Second Key:

Active Key

This key enhances the user to perform/carryout activities in the monetary related actions in your wallet, i.e powering up or transferring steem to another user's account. We can't use this key to engage in posts here in steemit.

It is used mainly for transactions.

Owner Key

It is a legal key (anti-keys) use in acquiring all the necessary keys the user might have misplaced or might have lost. Immediately the owner key is missing, we won't be able to recover other keys. It is essential to keep the keys safely, more especially the owner key.

Let’s look at the Third Key:

Memo Key

This kind of key has the ability of encrypting a message and also decrypting a message. It is not commonly used in this platform (steemit).

Question 3: How do you plan to keep your master password?

The moment I gained access (signing up) to this awesome platform (steemit), I downloaded and printed out my keys in the cybercafe and I took it home, I kept it among my confidential files in my room well secured. Am certain that I will never lose or misplace my master password and keys.

Question 4: Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem account?

I have obtained in the past few days the knowledge to do this. I will be showing you the steps alongside with the images/locations in achieving this.

Step 1

Go to the wallet button in your profile, click Steem and tap transfer

Step 2

Type in the other steemit account in the box provided for it.

Step 3

Copy your active key and paste it in the box available for it.

Step 4

Click the "Next" button and sign in. Your transaction gets complete after completing the steps.

Question 5: Do you know how to power up your steem?

Yes, I also have the knowledge of this.

Step 1

Go to your steemit wallet, under steem go to power up.

Step 2

Input the amount of steem you want to power up

Step 3

Add your active key and then you fully power up.
