Hi @grich here once again, today I would be talking on "PLAGIARISM". Have you ever wondered what the word "PLAGIARISM" means?me too🤷now let's take a look at what it means.

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM

Plagiarism in a nutshell is simply copying in part or whole a piece of someone's work and making it seem as an original work created by you, without quoting or making reference to the owner of the specific content or writing.
We can simply call it "yahoo"😂😂. But seriously, this act is an offence, it is piracy on a different level, and it is greatly frowned upon, especially in the STEEMIT community.
But most people engage in this form of "yahoo" act called plagiarism unintentionally. How🧐🧐🧐well to actually understand this let's take a look at types of plagiarism and how people unintentionally fall victims.

Please it is important to note that there are more types of plagiarism than the ones listed here

For the sake of your precious time, let's take a look at the most common types of plagiarism.👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾

DIRECT PLAGIARISM

Just as it sounds this is an act of directly copying someone's work without reference, it is " a word-for-word transcription of a section of someone else's work without attribution and without quotation"" ^Source

SELF PLAGIARISM

Most people fall victim to this because they think they should not be copying other people's work, they end up copying from themselves. This is something you should consciously steer clear from, especially on STEEMIT.

Self-plagiarism occurs when a student submits his or her own previous work, or mixes parts of previous works,from different platforms where you created the original."" ^Source

MOSIAC PLAGIARISM

Borrowing phrases from a source without using quotation marks, or find synonyms for the author's language, while keeping to the same general structure and meaning of the article" ^Source

WHY SHOULD YOU STAY AWAY FROM PLAGIARISM?

It is unethical and inappropriate, engaging in plagiarism it ruins your reputation. So in other to stay away from plagiarism always remember to say this to yourself 👇🏾👇👇🏾👇👇👇🏾👇
